I'd sort of given up and replying to the "Recomendation Wanted" posts as there seemed to be a lot diverse posts and not all in sync with my experience from a wonderful summer DMing for Sacred Seas [granted - That's getting a bit aged now]. I particularly enjoyed the relatively tight community...

We dove the cove at Mansfield - and it was uniformly 3-5 feet down to 70 feet

All the good harbors are to the south! There is a couple of shops in Kapa'a and there is a "house" shop at the Princeville Resort - - but that is getting pretty close to it. If you are thinking about a shore dive, almost all of them will bring air & gear to Tunnels and meet you there...
