    Socorro Liveaboard Grounding

I was on Socorro Aggressor a couple weeks ago. We saw the Vortex a few times, and it definitely already had bow damage. Don't quote me if that is the exact same damage, but I remember us discussing it. Could be new but 98% certain unrelated.

So What Is Everyone Doing To Pass Time

Currently debating with myself.... the only chocolate left in the house is the Easter chocolate hidden for the kids. Would you eat it?? Full disclosure I do have cocoa so I could bake some brownies... but man the work required to do that...

So What Is Everyone Doing To Pass Time

Both hubby and I are still working, essential. Spend the evenings getting the kids outside to burn off energy. That part has been nice. Learning how to make do and make substitutions instead of going to the stores. So so glad I dont live in a congested city. We have our own yard and lots of...

Diving WITH an outer ear infection

This! Start the drops now. Should be fine enough by then. Can't be any worse then diving through the start of an infection until finally giving in and seeing a doc. Which I know I have done... many times until I learned alcohol/vinegar after doing multiple dives That being said.. re read...

    Safely diving with heavy tanks

It really shouldnt be such a controversial issue... please take a very good look at how almost everyone is agreeing there are options to proceed safely. Choose what works for you. Good on you for thinking ahead, and realizing that you will outgrow your current tank needs and your air...

    Safely diving with heavy tanks

OP hasn't decided on tank. Therefore a very real possibility that he wont need weight in the future. The question was what happens when you have no ditcheable weight - the answer is get redundant lift. I dont understand why you think that is such an odd thing. I do not dive with weight....

    Safely diving with heavy tanks

Hp100 are awesome for short people. By far best tank that I have ever dove in my life, will never buy a different size now. As mentioned above, if you don't have ditcheable weight generally think of having a secondary source of lift for an emergency. I have wing, drysuit, and an smb...

    Zebra Mussels and Gear

I would. Use hot hot soapy water. Anything you can do to protect the other bodies of water around you is a good thing. Realistically doesn't add that much time either and wont hurt your gear to get a good clean

Dive safe! A short story from a chamber operator

Did you have a chance to experience what the chamber was like before going in with a patient for the first time? I could only imagine how unsettling the changes are

    Zebra Mussels and Gear

Will your gear have a chance to completely dry? Going off memory here but I believe 5-7 days dry can kill of any left. Great question and one that concerns us all!

    Just starting in doubles

You can do whatever you want. The tank length isnt the biggest issue - you can fix that with tank boots and spacers to make them level on the ground. It's your trim. Different tanks float differently... even the same brand but different years can. So you might feel rolly because of the way...
