Fantasea BigEye Lens G Series: Eyegrabber, where can it be mounted?

another question: I have bought the eyegrabber+an arm and am going to buy a tray. I want to have the eyegrabber +Bigeye attached to my cam, so that I have everything "precious" in my hand. I feel if I have it dangling around my bcd, I will breat it sooner or later. So my question: who makes...

Canon G15 - everything you need to know is here :)

Hi Charles Is this really true, are you 100% certain? Does setting/retuning the white Balance under water actually do nothing, that you won't be able to easily correct in lightroom? Doesn't an adjusted WB before shooting giving you a better picture - also a better base to start correcting...

any G15 (or similar) Pics without external Flash?

I live in switzerland and rarely get to dive. If I do, I make it a big holiday (2-3 weeks) and do just that, like the past 3 years, Perhentians, Lembongan, Mabul, Sipadan. All those years, I borrowed a S95 and shot without flash, with the motto: better than nothing. This year, I bought my own...

Fantasea BigEye Lens G Series: Eyegrabber, where can it be mounted?

Hi I have the Fantasea BigEye Lens G Series with my G15 and FG15 Housing. Now I need a place to put the lense when I'm not using it underwater. I have seen that there is this (pretty expensive) EyeGrabber from Fantasea. But: I don't have a flash setup, and on the pictures it looks as if the...

    RX-100 vs G1X dilemma

It was kinda cool to catch this one, since it was about as big as half a fingernail. I took the S95 with me in Lembongan, Mabul, Sipadan...but you know what? Even a clown fish is not "beneath" me. Noticing this one excited me as much as shark No 400 in Sipadan, or the zombie army (Bumphead...

    RX-100 vs G1X dilemma

Yeah you are right... I said that. But I think I was trying to make some money appear by writing this hehe... I'll probably just stick to no flash... like when I had the S95 and no other options: If the G15 can do that, I'll be happy!

    RX-100 vs G1X dilemma

I just don't have that budget. Its around 400+ bucks. If the other ones are utter... seaturds, I'll just have to go without a flash at all, and maybe buy one in 1-2years (when the next diving trip comes up). I'm just trying to use the money I have the best way possible. @supergaijin...

    RX-100 vs G1X dilemma

Ok, so I started looking at the G15. A few questions: a) Why the fantasea housing. Is the canon one (half the price) utterly worthless? 99% of the time I am going to dive no deeper than 35m... maybe 40... b) I was looking at the two cheap strobe options I mentioned. I found two sets, one for...

    RX-100 vs G1X dilemma

Hey guys I have a dilemma. I need to decide, and I need to decide pretty soon. I want to buy a compact for my upcoming diving trip. I have a budget of about 1000 - 1500 USD, where 1500 really would mean "I went all out". This budget must include everything, so meaning the compact cam and the...

Puerto Galera Sept - Dez: when to go, and when not to?

wow, its super detailed, but also very confusing. I think there is no data und PG specifically... The way typhoons hit the individual places varies a lot, depending on the landscape etc... so I guess actual estimation from people that live there is still the best data.

Puerto Galera Sept - Dez: when to go, and when not to?

It will take as a while to get to Manila (from Switzerland) so another appeal of PG, is that once in Manila, the journey is almost over. So for PG I guess we need to either make it early September, or November, to escape the Hurricanes....
