Apologies if this has been discussed before. I am considering buying a GoPro Hero 3 Black, but I was wondering if I should wait for the new model from GoPro.. I saw some rumours about Hero 4 on the web but nothing official. Does anyone have any info? Any suggestions?

I've done a similar trip (Lembeh + Bunaken, 2 weeks) last year with NAD (Lembeh) and Living Colours (Bunaken) and loved them both! For me this has been a very good combination (muck and reef diving).

Hi Susan, Yes they did lead dives. In fact I buddied with Jay in most dives because I was travelling single.

I dove with Jay on a Komodo trip with Siren. The trip was well organised. He and his wife Kay are good guides, very helpful and quite relaxed, and by the way they know most of the nudis by their latin names! :cool2: I would go with them again.

It is very likely you will see mantas - although no guarantees. When I visited Eriyadu they organised day trips to Lankan (near Male) to see the mantas. Dive sites around Eriyadu were really good, not overcrowded, with nice corals, grey reef sharks, whitetip sharks, stingrays, eagle rays, moray...

It's not that different in most respects than many other European or Asian airlines, in my experience. Don't recall any issues with punctuality.

Thanks, I checked the web for dwarf cuttlefish info/images, it could be one of those.. The size seems right, it was about 10 cm long. The patterns looked somewhat different to what I've seen on the web (youtube etc), the ones on the web seem to have a more random pattern, but maybe it was just...

You could try Saros Bay at Canakkale. It takes a few hours to reach from Istanbul but the diving should be pretty good.

That's an interesting proposition. Depends on what effect La Nina has on the Maldives weather systems and then the correlation of weather patterns to the behaviour of the pelagics (if any). Without detailed studies everything looks "unpredictable".
