JJ diver in Denmark. O-rings I do myself...for anything bigger, it depends. Local shop does the regs, something specific about the rebreather itself and it goes to the factory, but I have a good network for other JJ divers, so I sometimes ask them.
Thanks for your great reply...there are lots of good points.
You're assumption is right that I don't have any OC cave experience, and I'm starting directly on CC.
My drills I've identified that I wanted to practice are:
Blind bailout
Blind retrieving and attaching bailout
Blind exit

I've got a Solaris NG and a Stingray mk II. I'm taking my intro course next year, but am really happy with the lights for general use. Planning on getting another Stingray as my second backup.
Just noticed the 4-pin Petrel 3. Is there a reason why one couldn't be used to replace the HUD and BO computer? Seems like it would be better at monitoring PPO2 and also useful for bailing out on, rather than having two devices. Is it only a cost problem?
Great condition Shearwater Petrel 2, DiveCAN version. 146 hours, with just small scratches and bubbling on the screen protector, and minor wear and tear.
Located in Denmark, but willing to ship. EUR800/USD800.
I've been looking through the MOD3 requirements and noticed one of the open water skills is 'oxygen rebreather mode in depths less than 6m'. How is this accomplished on a JJ, or is it even possible?
