Hats off to the grave diggers of Joccasse, job well done. I think the new divers are getting awake up call. This is what happens when you make a mistake.

Do any of you know what the water temp. was at 100ft.?

I was out Aug 17 at the service club. 0 vis at 20'. This was just out past the pier. There was some divers out farther with a dive yak or small boat. They must of had some vis. They were out for the two hours I was on the beach.

Who is Capt. Jamie and the Aristakat ? Never heard of them. I will be down this coming week. (aug16-18)

Thanks to all for your input. That was an open ended question with no facts. Why I ask was the 24hr limit. How all that works when there will not be a 24hr break between dives. As for the car, it is old. If I get five dives a day I will be happy.

I’m getting ready for live aboard trip. It was recommended using Nitrox for the trip. So which is the limiting factor NDL or O2? Also on most live aboard which is more common 32 or 36?

Canon powershot SD700 I have a canon SD700. Any recommendation for an underwater flash, that don’t cost more then the camera. I have already tried the Fantasea Nano flash. It died before I had a chance to use it. Thanks for any help.

Last year I bought a Fantasea nano flash. Check the flash unit when I got it and everything worked. Took the batteries out and put it up. It has never been used. Got the unit out to take on a trip, put new batteries in it and it want work. Has anybody else had this problem? I have had it to long...

Problem solved. I sent the computer and cable back to scubatoys. They sent me a new set up. Now everything works. Thanks Scubatoys. Also thinks Tech. support at Oceanic. You did all you could. But when it’s broke it’s broke.

I just bought the oceanic VEO250 and down load cable. Can not get the down load to work. The message is Starting handshake and then Timeout. Then it goes back to the log screen. I have already checked the connection. Those seem okay. Thanks for any help.

I have a Canon Powershot SD700 IS . I use Sandisk ultra II 2.0gb memory card. Anybody know if the new 4.0gb SDHC card will work in this camera? Local Bestbuy don’t have the 2.0gb card.

Thanks for the replies. I’m going with Ultimate Getaway in October. The problem is I get sea sick every time I’m on a boat, so all the pictures may turn out green.

I’m getting ready to take my first live aboard trip. Is there a protocol for taking other peoples pictures? I want to document the hold trip.

Do you use a hood? I have this problem in cold water with out the hood. I know 70 don’t sound cold.

I don’t think the divers at the ramp. Read this message. Or we made them mad. The two left ramps were covered up with lawn chairs and gear. This was at the bottom of the ramp.

I agree. I have had to work my way around people, just standing at the end of the ramp talking. They were divers. But didn’t have their gear on.

Will the Oceanic VEO 250 fit in the same console as the Data Plus 2? I want to buy a backup computer. But I want the Data plus 2 to be my backup and the new computer in the console. Thanks in advance. miller
