Anybody have a description and/or picture of how this is done? Thanks.

DIR and Dual Bladder wings? Also Double reg set-up?

Same thing I do. Very easy and the singles reg becomes your vacation reg.

    NITKE HE vs. VR3

I know this doesn't directly answer your question, but if you need any other gear I would consider that first before a computer. You'll be using tables and a bottom timer for a while.

    What Regs do you use?

ATX100s for back gas, ATX40s for deco.

    Primary & Backup Reg Combo

Not too familiar with Poseidon, but the idea (expressed previously, so I can't take credit) is to have both your regs be high performance, not necessarily matching.

    Primary & Backup Reg Combo

Apeks ATX100s for both. If I had to get new regs I would get the exact same ones.

    Fiji Help

Was planning to do a last minute trip to Fiji mid to late August, however I have read some mixed reviews about the weather/rough water that time of year. Thought the Tui Tai would be fun with a land based resort afterward...maybe Koros Sun or Maravu. I was trying to reduce the amount of extra...

    nitrox classes

NAUI also has a "dive-less" nitrox course.

    Al30

40s seem to work better for deco needs when calculating safety factors for gas requirements. In addition, make sure you get an over-pressurization valve (OPV) for the first stage on your argon bottle. A freeflow into your drysuit could ruin your whole day.

Bonaire vs. Curacao - comments from those who have been to both

Going to Curacao and/or Bonaire in August. Can Anyone who has been to both islands comment on the diving, your overall experience, and thoughts about splitting a trip 5 days/5 days? Or just to one island?. I have read most posts regarding Curacao being better topside, but Bonaire having the...

Intro Cave Training-Playa Del Carmen Mexico Trip report

Excellent! I will be doing my training with Protec, hopefully in April, so this report was very timely. Thanks!

DIR reg recommendation, please .. Scubapro/ Apeks?

Have two ATX100s that I love. While they probably don't perform better or worse than high-end SP models, the hose routing is great.

    Triox for the masses

I would also hazard a guess that the "masses" generally aren't skilled enough to handle the deco responsibilities that come with Helium.

    Swim test

I hear what you're saying, but I don't think a one-time test will contribute to any muscle memory.

    Bungie cords for bottom timers

Home Depot has "Tie-Down" bungies that seem a little thicker and stronger. They come in a loop connected by a plastic ball. I just cut the plastic ball off.

What weight system are you using?

With my doubles, no weight. With my single, 8 lbs on the tank band - not ditchable, but my drysuit is my backup buoyancy device. In the unlikely event of a BC and drysuit failure, I can still swim the rig up from the bottom and stay on the surface kicking for quite a while (having tested this).

    uwatec Smart tek

No way would I trust a transmitter (or multiple transmitters...even worse) on anything but a shallow reef dive.

    Halcyon BCD

    Sorry, posted in wrong place.

    Halcyon BCD

I use it with a 36 lb. wing for singles and a 55 lb. wing for doubles. Love it.

    Another regulator question..

Have 2 ATX100s and can't say enough good things. Have a Scubapro R190 as the backup on a single rig that seems ok, I just hardly ever use it (have an H-valve on my single tank so I use my Apeks regs.
