Just Back from St Croix on Rorqual

But the salt water crocks were everywhere! :D I'm just embarrassed that I didn't get a high quality photo of one. BTW, I did enter the striated frogfish to the contest; I should have entered one of the many seahorse pictures that I took, since a seahorse picture won the macro contest...

Just Back from St Croix on Rorqual

I've been pretty busy, so its nice to see something written up on the St. Croix trip. I liked the itinerary; the highlights were Cane Bay and the pier. The other sites were decent, and sure beat sitting at a desk programming. Frederiksted pier is one of the best macro dives I've done, and...

Patima Smart 2 Video Housing for xr500/520

I got a "used" housing from Patima when I was in Palau about 5 years ago (from the owner of the company). Technically it had been used for a week, they wanted to sell the housings for promotions after a week there, so it was pretty much brand new. I think I could pound nails in with the thing...

Hawkbill Turtle on a Rash Guard

I'm looking to get some business from a local master's swim club. I've been putting together some reusable templates to paint on just about anything, this one was done in about 40 minutes. For swimming, I was thinking of adding some splashes and putting some text referring to a butterfly...

    Cuttlefish

This is a watercolor painting on hardboard. The reference was a cuttlefish that I took video of while in Puerto Galera. I decided I'd blow it up by airbrushing it to make a souvenir. The final size is 18"x24".

    Dolphins on a swimsuit

I got some new acrylic paint in from Createx (the wicked line) and decided to play around with it. My girlfriend wanted a picture with three dolphins, so she got it. I didn't take a perfect picture, its actually sharper than the picture shows. Pretty nice, and it should hold up pretty well.

    Dolphin Fast

I got some new paint (Createx Wicked) and decided to play around with making some apparel. This is three dolphins done on a swimsuit for my girlfriend. I don't know how well it will hold up to use just yet.

    Aliens at the Underwater Park

I found myself diving at the Catalina Underwater Park this Sunday. I headed out with my camera, and came upon a sight! I saw all of these eggs...I was hovering over them, they had movement inside, so I prepared to take a picture. Out of nowhere, one of them comes up, knocks my reg out and hugs...

    Aliens at the Underwater Park

So I saw all of these eggs...I was hovering over them, they had movement inside. Out of nowhere, one of them comes up, knocks my reg out and hugs my face! I was somewhat shallow, so I made it to the surface where my buddies took me into shore. The facehugger fell off at that point, and I...

    Crab hates me

Back in February in Roatan, I had some fun and wrote up a love message on a dive slate for my girlfriend, which I hid and then pulled her over to show her "a great picture" while she had her camera out on a dive. Last weekend I was trying to have some fun taking video and the still existant "I...

    I need tips

I had some fogging issues in Bonaire; I wound up getting some moisture munchers at Fisheye? (the shop at Bari's reef, it's been two years now), that cleared me up. I had brought moisture munchers with me, but they had turned pink by the time I had gotten to Bonaire. If you bring the munchers...

    Openwater Circus

It's too tough to find things that are interesting enough to show on the openwater diver course tours these days because of the movies; you have to make a circus of it to keep the students interested now.
