Thanks, Wolvan. That is exactly what I was trying to find out. That makes me think that even if I use the LCD back, I can get one dive on a charge. I can then switch batteries between dives. Have you been happy with your Hero 2 ?

Thanks for your reply. I don't have the Hero2 yet, so I don't know what "normal' battery life is, let alone half. Will it last an hour? 30 min? 20 min? Is it easy to turn the LCD on and off when underwater? Thanks again! Thomjinx

FWIW, I switched from a jacket style BCD to a DSS BP/W with a small 17 lb lift travel wing and noticed a significant decrease in drag. I think tapering the trailing edge of a tank would only make a significant difference in drag at speeds that are faster than you could swim anyway. -Thomjinx
