Help with Honeymoon!! Where to go??

Thanks to all of you! My wife really wanted to go to fiji or bora bora originally but we couldn't find it for our price. I've been told that getting there isn't the problem. It's how much everything costs once you're there. We'll look into it again though. Lots of great ideas to look...

Help with Honeymoon!! Where to go??

My (new) wife and I are trying to plan our honeymoon. We are having trouble deciding and since this is where I frst found out about Cozumel I thought I would again turn to the experts. We obviously want to dive but, she doesn't want it to only be about diving. We love Cozumel but, she wants...

    Coz recos wanted, please!

Sharky, You're right on. The "shallow" dives are still worth seeing and I generally get more out of them than the deep dives. Kind of like the swim throughs. Those are fun do to every now and then but, one after another is generally a waste of gas. I just came back from getting married...

    Cozumel Palace??

Thanks Christi, Now I don't have to search each hotel. We are using Stephanie (Due to one of yoru previous replies to our posts). The taxi into town for diving isn't great. We don't mind a cab ride up to $10 to get people to town. Do you think the Azul is nicer and better suited to our...

    Cozumel Palace??

Thanks for the replies guys. The Ox Grand is too far from town we think and when we stayed there is wasn't running shuttles. The ladder down to the rocks isn't going to cut it for the guests. The beach situation that the Fiesta has would even be fine. We just need to be closer to town. We don't...

    Cozumel Palace??

Does anyone know if Cozumel Palace has any sort of beach to speak of? We are getting married in Coz in OCt of 06 and we need an all inclusive to stay at with about 40 of our friends and family. Many of them don't dive so something close to town and with things to do (including a swimable...

    Will they need outside help?

I know how many of us there are that love Coz. And I remember Grand Cayman asking for help from off island. So my question is: does any one know of a system/ group already set up that people can contact in order to volunteer their services? Thanks, Joe

Getting married in Coz! Need some help.

Thanks for the replies. We have stayed at both the Grand and Fiesta. Although we like both of them (for different reasons) I'm not sure that I think either one is the place for our "event". If the Grand was closer, it would be the one I think. Christi, Thanks for taking the time to...

Getting married in Coz! Need some help.

Hey all, First, to those of you on the island good luck with the storm. This post is way down on the priority list with this hurricane coming. It's been a while since I've posted here, but i know that this is the place to come for help. Any experiences you can relate will be much...

    snuff dipping

First dip was one pilfered from a couple guys that were busy playing basketball and not so busy keeping an eye on their tins. I was 6. Needless to say it didn't go so well. I started up again on the baseball diamond and it was heaven. Learned that it wasn't so bad swallowing that spit when I...

    SP Razor?

I have the Razors. I bought them on the recomendations of another so I know I'm not the only one out there who likes them. They didn't do so well in a recent Magazine review (forget which mag) but I think they work great. I have used them here in Mass as well as in Cozumel and in both diving...

    Wool-lined Pinnacle wetsuits??

I have the Polar and Love it. It is warm and comfortable and easy to get into. And when I filled it with hot water before jumping into the water in Maine it stayed warmer longer. For the redcord I'm no expert on the physics of wet suits, you guys seem to have that position wrapped up. I just...

How to survive a heart attack underwater?

There are so many things wrong with the scenario of saving yourself/ someone from an underwater heart attack that we could punch holes all night. It's so fun that we just may choose to do that too:D .

How to survive a heart attack underwater?

Yep it's a good way to get the asprin in. I promise that your patient will be very happy not having to chew up an adult asprin. I think we hijacked this thread so back to the original topic. :D

How to survive a heart attack underwater?

Yep, 325 is 325 no matter how you add it up. The difference is that an adult 325 mg asprin tastes like crap and is harder to get down than 4 baby chewables. I don't know why you haven't heard it before as it's a commom method of delivering the dose. As for the Asprin staving off the full...

How to survive a heart attack underwater?

Dose for MI symptoms is 325 mg or more commonly given as 4 81 mg baby asprin. This is per patient. I assume you know this and are carrying 4 full strength asprins in case the first three get wet and ruined or there are 4 patients. This is not to come across as meaning that a first...

    Solo Diving

I have soloed with a tank. I haven't broken into the freediving sport I figure along the lines of an earlier post that my diving down and swiming the bottom at 20- 25 feet for 30 seconds probably doesn't count.

    Welcome to the Freediving Forum!

Nice. This is a sport that, although I started off thinking, "why would I want to punish myself like that?", I have come to wonder what would be the best way to get into it. After much reading on the subject I am becoming more and more interested. I hope this forum really takes off. Thanks...

    Cozumel Dive Books

Yep, same one I got. Best one I found before, while there, or after my return. I think Palankar Bricks (or "Palankar Bridge" depending on what DM I talked to) is my favorite site although to be fair it was the first site I dove ever in Coz so there may be a first love kind of thing for me.

Resort / marina in Key largo , looking for info

The units were nice. Very clean, helpful staff nice pool on site and a little beach with decent snorkeling. The condos we were in looked out over the water with only bush in between the condo and water. Sorry I don't have a link for you.
