The information will be updated as the spring time gets closer I am sure but more information can be found at this link
Accommodations
There is usually firewood there, if it is empty, you just need to ask the rangers to refill it. The locals up and down main street have it usually for sale...
Go visit Pete at Shipwreck Tours... he has a small boat that you can charter. Follow the signs through town to his place and they can take care of you.
My Top 10 is ever changing and probably will again since I am heading to Isle Royale at the end of the month and I really cant limit it to ten... so here is the list I would dive again in a heartbeat...
Northwind - Lake Huron's North Channel
Dunderburg - Lake Huron
Regina - Lake Huron...
If you can't get the flash I am a big fan of the Nikon l24 Ikelite (even with the flash) It has a way better manual white balance and it is an off the shelf camera if you want to buy a cheap spare to carry arround on land.
I am more of a Canon fan but the L2 is IMHO a little more camera...
WOW! That is the most awesome camera imaginable (IMHO) and the one I drool over! You do not need filters with it, It is also my opinion that filters actually cause you produce worse images. I shoot the T1i currently in an ikelite housing.
Not to be a complete jerk but you need to sit...
I agree with the above statement and unfortunately I am pretty sure Ikelite will not have a G9 case so they may be hard to find. I agree with pretty much everyone who is on this post (albeit I kind of skimmed) but there are a couple of things that I suggest to my students when it comes to...
I use a 6 inch hose with my oceanic transmitter because with the Poseidon first stage there is not enough real estate between the hoses to allow the transmitter to screw into the first stage directly. You will need to purchase an HP swivel or it will tend to leak. The swivel is exactly the...
I was there in May and it looked like the most impacted in my opinion were the Kline Reefs. There was a lot of obvious Damage. Oil slick, Rappel and thousand steps were amazing. Some signs that they were damaged in the past but still amazing. It was in my opion a lot less damage than say...
I am not a doctor so I may have it wrong. The way it was explained to me was that there was a pulmonary embolism that caused two small lung ruptures that would have otherwise gone unnoticed for a while and would not have caused much discomfort at first. As he breathed compressed air underwater...
That would be an interesting set of statistics.
Not sure... he had the software and the computers that come with an inspiration but I am not sure how he set it all up.
I didn't get to look at the computer to know exactly but it WAS early in the second dive less than 20 minutes according to the buddy. According to comments by the medical examiner the air embolism would have been inevitable because of the pulmonary event on the first dive... my take on that...
Hey keylargojimy and owsi176288,
You guys are a real piece of work. Do you even dive at White Star?
I wrestled with my concience about whether or not to even post any information. I decided that the lessons that could be learned were too important to keep quiet. I assure you that I will not...
As I typed in a previous post, now that I am able, here are most of the details from the accident last Sunday. Please keep in mind that to the family of the victim this was a very tragic, life changing event. I am truly sorry for their loss. I give the information, along with my personal...
