Depending on weather, SW Caye is 25 - 40 minutes from Hopkins. Same again to Glovers. Glovers is big so it depends on what part of Glovers you're going to. The circled area is Southwater. The diving going south from there along the reef is also very good

Have you tried intermittent fasting? Eat all your feed within an 8 hour period? Exercise is great but the times I exercised the most, i gained weight. I ate a lot. I've never been overweight though.

From Belize City you can fly to Dangriga, which is about half hour drive north of Hopkins. Most resorts pick you up in Dangriga, but my daughter just told me you can rent a car now in Hopkins. She does accounts payable for 10 resorts here.

I have two step daughters that work in Hopkins resorts. One is Hopkins Bay, the other Parrot Cove. Stuff to do, horse back riding, zip lining, hiking to Bocawina Falls, Cockscomb, Mayan ruins, cave tubing, kayak Sittee River, bird watching (lot of bird species in Sittee River basin)...

Belize does have one of the highest per capita road fatality rates. But that's due to a lack of drivers education, in my opinion. My quite beautiful step daughters got their licenses with no driving test....passed on charm. One thing to be aware of here that causes accidents....when turning...

Belize has a lot of land based things to see and do. And it's easy to cross over to Mexico. You will have to get tested every time 24 hours before you board an international flight.

I use a small soldering iron and burn holes for equalizing ease.

I went to the Philippines a few years ago with no dive gear. Used a jacket bc. No worries. And long blade fins :-)

I have two here in Belize. I'm going near the Int airport on Monday.

Assuming the small plane you're flying is Tropic or Maya Air, I don't think there is a baggage limit. They might bring bags on a next flight if needed. They fly every couple hours to most destinations.

I've never gotten cold here using a two piece 3 mil suit with a hood. And I'm a warm water wimp.
