    Trip to Cancun

I just came back from a vacation to Cancun. Before I left I went to the Mexico forum to find a new dive operation since the fellow I have dove with for the last 4 years had left the area, and I really wanted to dive with a smaller operation, not a cattle boat organization. By luck I ran across...

    Diving on the Big Island

Just got back form a week on The Big Island of Hawaii. Very nice diving and the water--well 73 degrees with a 3 mil wet suit and a 3 mil hooded vest was toasty warm. Stayed at the Royal Kona Resort though an older hotel it was extremely comfortable and friendly, staff very accomidating, and very...

    Christmas Dives on Kona

Thank you for the suggestion and the correction of location. I have taken your advice and called several shops but as of yet have had no replies(I know this is the busiest time of year). I will drop by these shops when I arrive, but also will go to the listed sites and at least snorkle to...

    Christmas Dives on Kona

Sorry for the large print, I was trying to get the attention of anyone that could help. I have studied the island and its sites for almost three months and have come to the conclusion that a local diver is what I need to find to help, or a dive master. As I said I have called and asked several...

Best dive operator in Cozumel for novice divers

Just finished 4 great days of diving with Scuba Mau. I have been here many times but never enjoyed the dives as with this company. They are located by Papa Hogs just off the street,. Small but total class operation. Mau uses small fast boats, with no more than 6 divers. They go out in the...

    50+ year old divers

Will be 60 in May, live in WV(the diving capital of the world) and dive where ever I can get to water. My friends say I will dive in a mud puddle--this is true. By the way how old do you have to be to retire from this sport? I have been doing it for 44 years--finishing Tech diving course and...

Hey CB soesn't have to be, just wait for the first snow---well maybe the second and it should clear up--might be cold though. After Hawii I guess it would be difficult. The real world is a tuff place to be---lol. I am envious of the trip

    Mt. Storm conditions 11/8/09

Was at Storm today for a quick dive. The viz at bottom was still poor, kind of a lot of suspension in the water. At the 90 the silt on the platform looked to be 2-3 inches. The temp at depth, 95 ft was 64 degrees. On the surface it was 33 degrees and yes sports fans it SNOWED.
