Thank-you Cave Diver and TwoBit Texan.
Finally, people are beginning to get the point about overhead environments. We had this discussion last year and it blew into an ugly...real ugly issue.
It's O.K. to be curious...but go get the training. :thumb:
Oh, Happy belated...
I normally check-in one big bag and carry-on a smaller bag. In the carry-on bag, I have my dive computer, regulators, and prescription mask. Everything else goes in the big bag. If they misplace my dive bag, I'm not totally out of the game. :thumb:
Don't even bother to take your tanks...
It's not a bad idea to have a doctor check out your sinuses before going to Maui.
I found an Ear, Nose, and Throat Specialist who is also a diver.
It was great having a doctor who could actually relate with the problem.
Best of luck! ;)
I wish I could be more obsessive diving every weekend. The problem is getting all of the weekend chores accomplished before the weekend. ;)
If it feels good...do it!
Either this person is the epitome of stupidity or maybe he wishes to explore his entrepreneurial skills by creating a market through government intervention for a Diver Escort Service... OK, I dug real deep for that one. :out:
I've never have a problem with my mustache while diving. On the other hand, I do have problems with it when eating, drinking, and sneezing, but never while diving. That's all that matters...right?
The degree of liability is not lessened by the type of material used...it's the overhead environment issue for divers not yet trained/certified to deal with it. I, like TwoBit Txn, have very mixed feelings about this. Mine are probably less favorable. I'm not crazy about the use of steel...
I've been using Poseidon regs for several years now and I can't imagine using anything else. You can't find a better or more reliable regulator. I use Odins when diving my tek rig and Cyklons on my recreational rig. I'm still waiting to see the Xstream.
No, we just need another poll for the number of polls posted, another for those who participate and then...oh yeah, I forgot to vote on this poll. :wow:
I'm also a Poseidon user. These are the finest performing regulators I've ever used.
I agree with NetDoc about the timing of regulator failures. Just give your self enough time to dive them after servicing to make any final adjustments you might need before you travel. I also take along...
