Maybe $6,000+ for both me and my wife. Totally worth it though.

    Tech Diving Limited

No worries. They are a good company to deal with. I got an LP 85 for my with from them. Great service. I even spoke with Joel on one occasion during the deal. It turns out he knows Evelyn Dudas, the owner of my LDS. Any friend on Evelyn's is OK with me.

How heavy is equip on land?

It can really depend on the equipment you are using, which will definitely depend on where and when you are diving. Most of the gear isn't too bad. Fins, mask and snorkle are pretty light. So is your wet suit (dry suits can be a bit heavier, but not too bad). Regs gauges and all of the...

what is your take on this??

It sounds like there was some nitrogen narcosis involved here. In fact, at 140', there was definitely some nitrogen narcosis involved. The panic was probably from the narcosis. Nitrogen suppresses the electrical impulses that nerves use to communicate with each other. Sometimes this can...

Why is spit such a good defogger?

I prefer Sea Gold, but spit works for me too. It also allows my Zeagle Ranger to vent all of the air from its bladder.

Solo Diving, How about WHY we should not instead of just NO you should not.

Here it is, short and sweet. I personally don't recommend it and I won't do it since I am no where skilled enought to even think about it. Would I look down on someone doing it? No. There are plenty of people who are diving solo who have never had a problem. In fact they might be safer...

    Sudafed effects on diving

While there are plenty of people who use it regularly without any problems, you do need to be careful about reverse blocks and the effect it can have on your state of mind when combined with diving. While I haven't read one all encompassing article on this, from what I can piece together, the...

What I LIKE About My LDS

Yeah, I forgot to mention that as well. My wife signed up for a class and there was a total of three people in it. She needed to reschedule a few classes and the instructor made gladly met with her individually on a few occassions. I went to one of her final classes and this guy was great...

    Hang Em High

May be "Sea Lice". Most likely cnidarian larvae (jelly fish). They are almost microscopic. The larvae affect you most where they get trapped. Under a t-shirt, the waist band of swimming trunks, where your dry suit neck seal meets your neck. You can treat it with an antihistamine, such...

What I LIKE About My LDS

My LDS is great too. Dudas Diving Duds in West Chester, PA. Been around since forever (the 60's) and don't really care where you buy you gear. They have good prices (not as good as the internet) and will give discounts. The people there are knowledgeable and friendly.
