If you are wanting to drift dive the river its in the other direction from Lake Pleasant. You should be looking at shops in Scottsdale, Phoenix or Mesa
I'm happy I spotted this thread, it saves me from asking the same questions. I'll be coming off the Ice (McMurdo Station) sometime in Feb. and want to get some diving in. Its a bit hard to schedual anything until I get my off Ice dates set.
Wow you are right when you say a book. And great pictures to boot! Thanks for taking the time to come join us. I need to get some more dive time before heading south again so we'll have to do it again soon.
Have a great day and enjoy life
Steve
Great diving with you again Gilad. We'll have to do it again sometime soon. You did great with the video considering the conditions. Next time I'll bring my camera with me.

Sorry I don't have any GPS numbers. The deepest pool that I have found is 30' but these change depending on flooding. Most of us dive either Sheeps Crossing or Pebble Beach. You can find this on a Forest Service map. Saguaro Ranch has sit on top kayaks that can be rented.
Jax, there are...
there are quite a few of us that dive the salt river. It can be a lot of fun. Most people I know work the deeper pools, but I've known people to have drift dive it too.
Hey Gilad,
I'll have to wait until I get home to see your videos. We have high speed internet here like you do at home, but with about 1,000 people using it. If I started downloading one file today I might have it done sometime tomorrow.
Have a great day.
Steve

Its sad to see the first dive shop in Phoenix close its doors. My best wishes to Bobbie with her future...
Well, I'm posting this late. Last Sunday my nephew and I dove Sheep's Crossing. The water is very high and flowing at a moderate rate. As Steve mentioned its cold. 64 degrees is what showed up on my computer and dive watch. Just a bit chilly for a 3 mill.
The winter floods has cleaned a lot of...
Willow Springs is a good option. Its been awhile since I have dove it. Most people I know dove it near the spill way. The last I check Woods Canyon was closed to swimming and diving.
If you want to check out Willow Springs let me know since I live in Payson.
Well the problem with the river is access now and water flow. Congrats on the new gun but I think you'll probably have to go to one of the lakes to give it a go. As for too cold? Water temp is running in the low 50's right now so not bad. Now this is cold water diving YouTube - To Dive Beneath...
