    Triple Tank, Triple Manifolds!

Nice set up pescador775! I might use that as a guide when I rig up that US Divers triple!

    Dacor double hose reg parts

Thanks for the info Brian. For the R4 Dacor, the hose needs to be larger at the mouthpiece end (don't know the measurement off-hand) than the reg body end. I'll keep you informed if I happen to find any!

    Dacor double hose reg parts

Vintage dive team, Does anyone have spares for a Dacor R4 double hose reg? I require both diaphragms for the reg. I'm also looking for R4 hoses. The ones on mine work, but were stored in a rather contorted position. Consequently, one has a permanent kink and I hesitate to vigorously bend...

    We did it again

I can't believe it! I'm here at work, Hawaiian shirt on and thinkin' about deep blue...and turtleguy post vintage gear dives in Hawaii. Good on ya - at least someone is out keeping the vintage gear going. Nice twin tank rigs by the way!

    Triple Tank, Triple Manifolds!

Thanks Neil. I'll email you. Yes, the manifold I bought from Neil is the chrome one, but it does not look like the UDS-1. The first stage hooks up at the right side of the manifold, as opposed to the middle. Was it really possible to use this specific triple set-up with double hose...

    Triple Tank, Triple Manifolds!

I see that turtleguy picked up some Voit twin 38 tanks. What a find! I recently picked up a triple tank manifold, but I can find absolutely NO information on these. This one has a black plastic open/closed knob, so I assume it is post-1970s (as opposed to the old triple rigs Cousteau used)...

    J valves

Thanks turtleguy, captain, and Scoobie dooo! It sounds like the technique is to just run the tank down with a reg/SPG hooked onto the valve and assess it that way! Have any of you ever had a J-valve quit working - as in fail to provide the 300-500 psi after activating the valve?

Vintage gear vs. Modern Dive Boats?

Some boat operators do feel a bit uneasy when you show up with a vintage j-valved steel 72 strapped to a US divers pack, not a BC in sight, and then proceed to rig up your twin hose Aquamaster. One of the things I do - and I know its not in the 'full spirit of vintage diving ' - is to attach a...

    J valves

Hi Lisa and Co. Is it possible/necessary to rebuild old J valves so they work as originally intended? Is there any easy way to accurately test - on dry land - an old J valve to see if it still works at the prescribed tank pressures? Obviously, I can just drain the tank down to 500 psi and...

    Latest Vintage Gear Dive

I have been using an old school black rubber Scubapro snorkel for some free diving and ‘vintage’ dives. The only problem I find is that, like my old jet fins, anything the snorkel contacts gets black on it! The mouthpiece rubber is more prone to spreading the smudge than the snorkel tube, for...

Replacement parts for older Scubapro regulators (more)

Hi team, I'm new to this forum. I need to replace two black rubber exhaust 'T's (the Scubapro factory part name for the the rubber piece air is expelled through) on the older chrome Scubapro regulators. Anyone know a source for these? Cheers, bryon Please take out the NOSPAM...
