Overhaul - Aqua Lung Titan 1st - diaphragm is stuck like glue

Has anyone had any actual experience & success solving a similar problem? - - - - First of all, I’ve rebuilt these things before, without problem. Not that it would matter, but I’m disassembling the ’T’ shaped Aqua Lung Titan 1st – the model introduced in 2010. I don’t use compressed air to...

Worm (?) - found it on the sandy bottom in Cozumel

The aluminum rod that you see in the screen capture is about 3/8 inch diameter. You can see a bit of a pointy tail at one end. The other end is buried in the sand and wants to stay there. Any ideas?

    Skyray SR-198 w/ CREE XM-L T6 LED

Anyone have one of these? Have you taken it on a dive ... leaks? In the group photo attached, the Skyray is the small black anodized light in the foreground. I just got it. Irresistibly inexpensive. Won't be able to dive it for some time. Very bright for such a small light. Don't know who...

WTB - Suunto Cobra console end piece K5606

I've got a Cobra with the compass, want to take the compass off and replace with the end piece 'Suunto K5606'. The end piece looks like the gray section in the photo. Actually, there's a black version and blue version for other Cobra models - any should work and I don't care about the color...

Experience with HP Kevlar hose from 'eurodivingzone'?

Anyone have experience with these? They appear to be the same as the Phantom Kevlar hoses except lacking the exterior polyester braiding. You can see them on ebay and 'eurodivingzone' web site. I know that Poseidon has produced - for quite some time - an SPG with Kevlar hose that 'appears'...

Suunto Dive Manager experts... database ques

I'm running SDM on two systems - one is the home desktop system (big big dual screens, fast), connected to all my backup stuff. - the other is my tiny Netbook - which is handy for taking on dive trips, downloading logs while I'm in the hotel. So, I have a pretty obvious strategy - I return...

    Every light a dive light...

OK, that title is a little bit of a stretch. I searched the forum, I didn't see anyone commenting on this interesting thingy on blip.tv. Maybe you've already seen it, maybe not. This guy takes a simple aluminum body LED light (from Home Depot), fills it with 'mineral oil' and voila, he's...

A tour of Meridiano 87 - filling station

Meridiano 87 is the main tank filler on the island of Cozumel. There are a few other people/companies that fill tanks, but Meridiano gets the majority of the business. On May 10 I visited Meridiano and was given a tour of the production area. I thought some board members might find this...

no luck finding an authorized service facility in my area

I bought a new zeagle reg from a retail store that was going out of business. Since they were going out of business (and clearly had not sold much product for some time), I wasn't surprised to not find them on the list of authorized dealers at the time I made the purchase. I would expect that...

    Tusa Viewtrek Plus Mask (M-26)

I've owned numerous TUSA masks over many years. Several Liberators, a Platina. Just lost my Platina. They all fit nicely, but I want to try something with greater field of view. I know the Powerview will fit me well. How does the Viewtrek fit compared to Powerview and Platina?

    Portable CO monitor

You've mentioned elsewhere: "the need for a portable CO monitor for the traveling diver. We have a unit in development so stay tuned." A lot of people now reading threads here are probably contemplating the purchase of a CO monitor. Does Analox have any target dates for introduction of...

    Question about EZ-ON zippers (Wetwear)

Wetwear has a feature they call EZ-ON zippers. If you own a Wetwear suit with this feature, how do you like it? I've wondered if that membrane tends to bunch up and get uncomfortable (?) I've got numerous surf suits and one Scubapro dive suit. Surf suits frequently have a similar membrane in...

    SUUNTO Cobra ascent rate warnings...

'Trust But Verify' - I may have been trusting too much and not verifying enough. I've been working at keeping my SUUNTO Cobra happy. Still, I get too many 'ascent rate' warnings. SUUNTO gives you a 'slow' warning and puts a mark on your logs if it believes you have exceeded the 33 ft/min...

    Deep Stops - Suunto Cobra

Several Suunto models have a feature that provide prompts for deep stops. I've got the Cobra and it's not one of those models. I've only read briefly about the feature on the Suunto site. And read briefly that those computers use 'the new Deep Stop RGBM'. I presume that's a modification of...

o-rings: Zeagle cross ref to industry std

This is kind of a “I'm just curious to know” thingy. Or, maybe, “I've got too much time on my hands and puzzles like this intrigue me” thingy. You'll probably have to be pretty astute about o-rings to decipher this. Here's the code I'm trying to crack... I'm curious to...

    Dorcy 41-0467 availability

I was looking to buy one of these. Started to notice that lots of resellers were out of stock. Which made me wonder if Dorcy was intentionally running the stock out in preparation for replacing it with an upgrade / new model. Called Dorcy sales. Nope. They're just all out of inventory. No...
