    Proper care for scuba gear?

Baby shampoo is also a great mild cleaner for just about anything you want to clean that is made from any type of delicate/sensitive material as well. As far as the Drysuit, the beach where I normally instruct there is a shower that I use once I prepare to get out of my gear as a pre-clean...

I have a 30 gallon trashcan that I fill with fresh water and I usually let my gear soak for a couple of hours to make sure its completely salt free, I actually rinse it BEFORE I put it into the bucket. I saw that your using Alcohol to clean your mouthpiece, I wouldnt recommend it, the alcohol...

    Internet gear question

Wow it's really gonna suck when the LDS goes out of business, they give me air, can internet do that? It costs around 10 dollars to fill each tank (filters, maintenance electricity, initial cost) so he's taking a hit just to stay open. Internet is a double edged sword, good prices, but kills...

    Anyone Hunt in SoCal????

Heh I just had some sheephead and some bass tonight (yesterday's catch) both cooked in same way and pan.... The sheephead was almost totally lacking flavor but the bass was much better and i dont like fishy fish. Oh and the bass I think it was a spotted sand bass.

    Volo vs. Jet Fins????

I bought scuba pro twin jet (i think thats what they are called?) split fins anyway, and im absolutely horrified at their performance, kick like mad and hardly moving. They are made of a soft compound and seem to "absorb" all my energy and I do a lot of beach dives with surf and surge, boo hoo...

What are your primary worries as a solo diver?

I dive solo often ,but only if ive been there before with a buddy. I also carry a pony tank and stay above 60 feet, I think it's relatively safe if your not careless and in good physical/mental condition. just my 2 cents.
