Just ordered an xs scuba weight belt (thanks scubatoys!), now I need to get some lead. I'm leaning towards hard weights, they just seem more durable (and cheaper!). What's the general opinion on this?

First dive with my bp/w and the 24" spg hose. The first time I checked my spg, I didn't get it snapped back to my hip. I couldn't find it without my buddy's help, which worries me. I'd like to be able to recover from something like this myself. What do you guys do if this happens?

I've got 16 dives on OC, just got nitrox certified. I definitely want to get a CCR in the near future, but I'm worried I'm still a bit 'green'. How much experience does one generally need before training on a rebreather? I'd obviously take a class.
