Does your vehicle say you're a diver?

I have a dive flag plate on the front of my truck and a sticker in the back window. It's a great way to meet other divers, as usually they're the only ones that know the flag means.

    1st trip to Keys...

My wife and I were in Key Largo last month and stayed at Bay Side resort. It was a basic hotel room but they had a sandy "beach" with a swimming area and pool. The water was about 4 feet deep off their dock and very clear, on my first night there I snorkeled for about 30 minutes. There is a...

Who carries their computer in their carry on?

I carry-on my computer, reg, and BC. We have too much money invested in both my wifes and my equipment I'm keeping it close to me. I agree with Buff too on how your baggage is treated by handlers.

    Freak yourself out?

I’m thinking of sharks when I stride off the boat into the water. One of the first things I usually do after getting wet is do a full 360 to see if anything bigger than me is down there. Fortunately the biggest shark so far was a 4 foot nurse shark.

Dive Charter Recommendations in Key Largo

My wife and I just got back from Key Largo. I would avoid Lady Cyana Divers, they were my first experience with a cattle boat. The crew were unfreindly and we were hurried. The fumes from the motor caused some to be sick. The next day we dove with Amy Slates boat. It was a cattle boat too...

    Kentucky Lurkers

We've dived in Cerulean last year and liked it, it's only a couple of hours away. Ask about "Elvis". My wife and I have planned a trip to Mermit in May with some friends and have heard it's a great stop, want to see the sunken jet liner. Where is Gioba, we're looking for some closer places...

    here's one for the instructors

I should point out from my earlier posts that my wife and I are taking our advanced courses together, we received our OW separately. On that I should have been clear, I can see the point most of the post are making and I can’t dispute it.

    Mask Clearing

I have to back up scottri on learning to breathe through your mouth instead of your nose. When I took life guard training as a youth I was taught to exhale through my nose and it was tough to change.

How often do you visit the BOARD???

I check several times at work and on weekends I check in the evening when the kids are asleep. It feels good seeing others love this activity as much as myself.
