I have a dive flag plate on the front of my truck and a sticker in the back window. It's a great way to meet other divers, as usually they're the only ones that know the flag means.

I’m thinking of sharks when I stride off the boat into the water. One of the first things I usually do after getting wet is do a full 360 to see if anything bigger than me is down there. Fortunately the biggest shark so far was a 4 foot nurse shark.

I should point out from my earlier posts that my wife and I are taking our advanced courses together, we received our OW separately. On that I should have been clear, I can see the point most of the post are making and I can’t dispute it.

I have to back up scottri on learning to breathe through your mouth instead of your nose. When I took life guard training as a youth I was taught to exhale through my nose and it was tough to change.

I check several times at work and on weekends I check in the evening when the kids are asleep. It feels good seeing others love this activity as much as myself.
