Keeping gloves attached to SI Tech rings??

I tried a bunch of things and it came down to my hands are too big to fit through the glove cuff when it has the ring attached and the extra material captured by the ring. So every time I tried to fit my hands through it dislodged the glove and inner ring from the outer ring.

Keeping gloves attached to SI Tech rings??

I ordered a pair of Large SI Tech rings and my hand will fit barely into the ring. The next problem is the glove pops out of the ring when my hand tries to go int the glove. What am I doing wrong? I'm really close to just putting some PVC pipe inside the suit sleve and mounting a glove...

    San Juan business & diving?

I have been trying to get some cave diving in down there for the past 10 years and never get around to it. How extensive are the caves? I know of the Rio Camuy, what else is there? Are they like D.R. caves?

Latex seal adhesive and cuff rings

I'm still searching for a pair of rings that I can get my hands through. So for now I wanted to get the seal back on. I had not thought of sandwiching the suit with rings. The rings I currently have (don't fit over my hands anyway) use an o-ring to fasten on to the suit. The suit is fabric...

    San Juan business & diving?

Ponce has some nice diving. Since you are going to be working there diving is easy and there are operators. I've done a bit of diving there. My wife was born in Ponce and grew up in Santa Isabel. So when we go to P.R. we normally stay in Santa Isabel at her brothers house or aunt and uncle's...

    Panama

http://www.scubacoiba.com/ This is the operator in Santa Catalina that is land based and runs trips to the waters around Coiba island. I've also dove around Portabello by Colon and Contadora and the Pearl Islands. For freshwater Gatun lake and the French cut in the canal zone.

    Panama

I lived in Panama for a few years in the 80's and went back in 99. The diving depends uopn the area. For the most part it is still remote and not well supported. If a person is adventureous then it is great. Diving around Boca Del Toro is good sort of like Honduras. Diving on the other side...

chlorine Skin rash or something else?

It was mentioned earlier up the thread but it sounds more like a ph problem with the pool. We have a local pool that will cause the skin to get very dry and itch when the ph is off.

Latex seal adhesive and cuff rings

I have a DUI CF 200 with latex seals. I had the seals replaced a month ago and yesterday the right wrist seal came off at the dive site. So I am going to replace the seal myself and was hoping to find a good quality contact cement. The dryglove rings I have are 85mm and there is no way my...

Where to get good dry glvoe rings

I have a set of the OS type rings. They have an 84mm diameter I.D.. There is no way my hands can fit through a ring that size. I even tried soap and water. Who makes a larger ring size or a flexible ring system? I need about a 94mm or 4.5" diameter ring system.

Latex seal adhesive and cuff rings

I have a few questions I am hoping I can get answered: What is the best choice for latex seal adhesive? Who makes the largest drysuit cuff rings?

Muck Divers: Wetsuits for Quarry Dives?

I guess it really depends what kind of diving a person wants to do. How long, how many dives and how deep. Most Quarries will get into the low 40's at depth and will be close to that year round. At around 4ata the suit will be crushed flat and have minimal insulation.

Muck Divers: Wetsuits for Quarry Dives?

If you can wear stock of the rack wetsuits then you should be able to find a good wetsuit for under $200. I just looked and saw several 7mm FJ suits for $149-$189. It may be a store brand or closeout model but that would still work.

Muck Divers: Wetsuits for Quarry Dives?

I am not a big fan of wetsuits especially for midwest diving. Water temps below 70 degrees is getting into drysuit territory. The wetsuit is going to compress with depth so where the water is colder is where the suit gives the least amount of insulation. The wetsuit gets damaged by...
