Like JonG1, I get hyperoxic myopia after 5 days or more of rebreather diving. It will continue to worsen for a week or so after the dive trip has ended. It typically takes two months to completely resolve. It is very consistent for me, to the point I have a pair of glasses that are my post-dive...
I’ll just throw this out there for the OP. The Apeks and Aqualung you listed would be included in the free part’s program. If you start skipping every other year, you may find yourself paying for the parts on the rebuild years. Your regs, that’s around $100 for 1st, 2nd and octo parts per reg...
Had to bailout to OC on a wreck a few years back due to a flooded loop on my rEvo, followed by sensors reading erratically. Dive was around 170' and had started getting gurgling in the loop about 20 minutes into the dive. After clearing the water from the loop a couple times with a barrel roll...
I have had the same experience with my Cootwo as you are describing. My sensor was more than one year old so I bought cal gas and calibrated it. It would seem like it was working right, on breath hold it would show 2-3 ppm and all my air cylinders read 0. I tested some Nitrox cylinders I mixed...
I like Aquaventure Dive and Photo. Great bunch of people and a pool on site so you don’t need to go elsewhere for the pool portion. They are up in Osseo. I have little experience with Air Down there, but know people that do. They get good recommendations also. They are in Little Canada I think...
As I recall, the low battery indicator is caused by the amount of power drawn from the battery during its diagnostics during boot up. After it’s complete, there is no where near as much drain and the battery recovers from that event. That’s why it clears after a few minutes.
There is a timer for both sensors if remember correctly. The CO is 2 years and the O2 is one year. If the sensor is still working, you just need to do what you did and tell it that you replaced the sensor. Of course then you need to calibrate it as normal and it should work just as before.
You can change how long the calibration is valid for, up to 48 hours max using the app. 48 hours is the max though, unless someone found a way around that.
Mine was 2+ years old and working fine until I dropped the Cootwo on the boat on the first day of the trip last month. Two bad things happened then. The tabs that connect the + and - of the battery bent so the the battery could no longer power the device. After I got back to the room, I re-bent...
Yikes! We just got home to Minnesota last night after a week at Scuba Club Cozumel. That’s even worse than what we had last week. We are supposed to get a bunch of snow and -28*f temp this week though.
Don’t remember where I bought them, but I have a couple of 2” ss rings that have a nut welded to them. I put a bolt through the bottom corner hole in the backplate and screw it to that. What I like about it is I can have it going out to the side or down to the bottom if I need to. Also can take...
Went to check tank yesterday and when I went to turn it on it was dead. Thought that was odd as I used it 2 weeks ago and recharged it after that use. Plug it in to recharge and today it flashes BATT and Cal alternately. I tried to conned and it says there is a problem and it will try and fix...
My wife has problems also. She just saw an ENT and he gave some new (to us) advice. These are geared more towards multi day diving, but may help.
Take Sudafed a couple hours before the flight leaves if flying. He thought that part of her problem on the last trip was not being able to equalize on...

This is from a local Minnesota lake. It is on a training platform in 20' of fresh water and the water temp is 64 f. I would estimate them to be 3/8" diameter and 1 1/2" long. They were not there two months ago, or so small I didn't notice...
2airishuman, I have a LP45 that has O2 in it if you want to actually try one. I am in the north metro area. I used it once or twice on a dive, but mainly use it for surface O2 (like a DAN bottle) and it stays in the truck or on a boat. PM me if you want to try it.
