    Goodbye ponies

If I do any type of diving over 20 feet I always bring my pony with me. Even if I never use it, it's like my security blanket.

    Integrated weight vs. non-integrated

However I prefer getting bent then to have to watch that bug on your screen all day.

    Integrated weight vs. non-integrated

First of all if I dive with someone, before we went into the water I'd tell them where my weights are. That is part of a pre dive check with a buddy. Good question though.

    Integrated weight vs. non-integrated

I've heard that there are suspenders out there for weight belts. I don't think that I'd be comfortable with them, because that would defeat the purpose of a quick release system. SO dropping 1 weight at a time is fine by me. A nice controlled safe ascent. If I do have to ascend very quickly...

    Integrated weight vs. non-integrated

WIth my customization I do descend feet first, but by the time I'm at the bottom or where I want to be I've adjusted myself to proper trim. So I'm ok and comfortable with that. Plus I do dive a lot by myself so I must be able to take care of myself if the need arises. Evne when I'm on a...

    Integrated weight vs. non-integrated

I have never had a loose soft weight fall out of a pocket. But when I first bought my bc it was both semi integrated in which I had two 15 lb weights attatched to the bc with a snap on type release set up. On one dive I did have one of those weights fall out. I didn't realise what had...

    Integrated weight vs. non-integrated

WIth much experimentation with various styles of weight belts, and always comming up with the same problem of at the end of a dive any dive my weight belt always ends up at my ankles. A couple of years ago I decided to customize my bc by placing individual soft weight in the pockets. I've...

    The deadliest catch

I jjust read an article in a local news paper about how a llocal clam digger got to spend a couple hours with the captains on the boats that are on the show the deadliest catch. It seems that they were filmiling an episode right here in Glouster, Mass. I watch that show amlost daily. So...

Sadly, my diving days are over

Why don't you get in touch with your own cardologist. If he or she isn't sure then talk to one that has knowledge of diving.

    "Guided" 200' dive with a single AL80?

It's just like what they say about dec and playing by the rules. Even if everyone pays strict attention to their limits, They still could have a dcs problem. So why not on the other end of the spectrum a person that doesn't play exactly by the rules may not have dcs?

    "Guided" 200' dive with a single AL80?

I think some of the problem here lies not with the chap that did this dive, but with those who are reading about it. It's guys like he that push the limits that really set the boundaries of what the rest of us do. So maybe some people here are just a little jealous that this guy had the nutts...

    smoking on a dive boat

Actually a good cigar smells a little like that any ways if you induldge in its bouquet before you light up. So maybe a little fart bouquet may add to it. Just like in the movie up in smoke. Hey what are you smoking it tastes just like. That's because it was.

    smoking on a dive boat

But cigars do not contain any of those additives, since they are naturally made. The worse thing cigars may contain is what ever may have been on a presons hand at the time it was being roled. For example if the person just got done scratchig their *** it may have a little s on it...

    smoking on a dive boat

I've actually done that. I bring a cigar with me in a little plastic bag to keep it dry. then while I'm floating around waiting to get back on board I light up. You should see the looks I get when I walk up the ladder puffing on a nice big cigar like I'm a big movie star. :eyebrow:

    smoking on a dive boat

First of all when I smoke a cigar I usually smoke out side unless it is at my cigar shop or while driving in my pickup truck. I also usually do not smoke around others if Iknow that it will bother them. I do try to be considerate of others. I actually try to be more considerate of non smokers...
