In my opinion CP is not a place for newbie diver, no credit card as I remember (as 5 yrs ago) no teller machine, no all inclusive package ... It’s only a one hour driving from SJD though, the best thing is rent a car and drive there and see what is available once arrived.

Consider also Vekeveke, is a great option too with good food a wonderful beach.

I totally agree. Also consider that AOW c/card will not allow you to dive the "real" spots in Rangiroa, at least this is The Six Passenger policy for divers certification.

For me Anilao over the rest, Pier Uno Dive resort is my favorite choice. ;)
