I am currently diving a set of AL100s, why you ask, I have asked my self that before too, mostly because I had em and it was the least painful on the pocket book.

The mk2/380 is a fine low end regulator as you have already heard from many people. At one time it was a good regulator for deco stops. However Scubapro no longer supplies a O2 kit for the Mk2 which makes it almost useless as a regulator for deco stops as you can not use it with gas mixes above...
No I did not know. Fill me in I would love to come over to Chicago and see everyone. Do you plan to dive or just get together? either is fine with me.
Thank you again for including me in your dinner, it was very thoughtful and I really appreciated it. I had a great time meeting and talking...
Josh and I arrived home safe last evening after a great week of diving in South Florida.
I would like to thank everyone that was at the Wreck-mania dives on Lady Go Diver in South East Florida this past week! Josh and I enjoyed diving with the gang on Sunday afternoon, and I really enjoyed...
I would like to thank everyone that was at the Wreck-mania dives on Lady Go Diver in South East Florida this past week! Josh and I enjoyed diving with the gang on Sunday afternoon, and I really enjoyed the dinner afterwards. It was truly a pleasure to meet everyone. Special thanks to Walter for...
Many good points here with Green_Manelishis true statements [B]you are pretty much at the *safe* limit for an air dive when you are at 180 fws (based on PO2)[B] 180 feet being the max depth of the Extended range certification, and 218 being MOD of air.
Caverkevin has a very valid point...
as you can see there are many options to chose from. I have found the Halcyon Super Alert Marker to work quite well when deployed from a reel. It does not matter if it tips over as it is fully enclosed. It has an overpresurazation valve, plus an inflation device that connects without attaching...
You have heard correctly there are a lot of wrecks in the Great Lakes. They are different than wrecks in the Ocean in the fact that they are not covered with coral. The cold water has preserved them very well and they are for the most part just as they were when they went down.
The water temp...
Sorry about the messed up replies here I am not sure what happend. Between the 2 post I hope you will be able to make some sense from them. It will be a challenge as I was barely able to and I wrote it! LOL
Have a good day!
Tom
You have much to be thankful for. At least you can dive with your husband. My wife will never be able to dive with me as shes had many ear surgeries and has to even be careful in the shower not to get water in her ears.
You will be able to surf the web, go to dive shops, travel agencies...
Here are a few pictures taken of the Spiegel Grove as she sunk. From the information I have read the stern is sitting in about 160' Seawater and as you can see the bow is still at this time sticking out of the water.
Dive till it hurts hang till it quits!

Welcome in advance to the Midwest. While I am not from Chicago I am from northern Illinois. There are a few quarries to dive in within a reasonable distance from you, and of course Lake Michigan. As far as Dive Shops...I have been to many across the US and to be honest the best one I have been...
I am sure that if she did dive that we would be at different interests levels.
While I feel for you in many issues I also envy you. You have a chance to do something that I can only dream about. I so much would like to have someone that is interested in diving; someone to plan vacations to...
Myself I would like to see more left on the wrecks. One of the best wrecks I have been on was the Hydro Atlantic. This Ship was in tow to be taken for repairs when it went down in a storm. It is the most complete wreck I have ever been on and I enjoyed it more for this reason.
Hope you...
I have come upon a set of HP Steel 120 doubles with Isolation valve and would appreciate some input.
What would be a fair price for them
I assume they need a hydro (I have seen them but did not look at them with the intention of buying them).
There is also an AL30 with...
I will have to agree bouyancy king here. Once you get comfortable with your equipment you will likely be able to drop a few pounds of weight and trim yourself properly. It just takes a little practice. Learn how to get all the air out of your BC I have seen many students during OW dives that...
