Techniflex :: Shoulder Valve Purging Trouble

Not really a problem I have heard of with our valves or placement. I do know some people have trouble with their valves if they are using something really bulky underneath like a Weezle.

    Technifit?

The TechFit has been an evolving product that we have limited to certain sales and dealers. We wanted to make sure the suit fit was 100% correct as well as make various tweaks in designs and ideas. We hope to unveil the new version in the next month or so.

    viking classic cuff

Correct. The main reason is that with most of the pull over systems, you must stretch your seal over an internal plastic ring. Anytime you leave your seal in a stretched position, the life of the seal will be reduced. The main thing you can do is to occasionally remove the rings and make sure...

    Dry Suit Boots? Input needed.

What do you think is the most important thing in the design of the rock boot? I like the idea of lacing on the side with a pull cord instead of laces. I just don't like the idea of knocking off someone else's product and importing crap from China. Another thing I'm wondering is that we use both...

    Dry Suit Boots? Input needed.

For the past 20 years, USIA has used a molded rubber boot. We are considering going in a different direction, and we are really wanting to get some input from Scubaboard members as to what they like and what they don't like when it comes to their boots. Do you like Attached boots, or over...

3 months for a custom suit. HUH? Serioulsly!!!

I don't think it's any great surprise, but USIA does manufacture custom suits for Edge/HOG. I don't think in our years working together anything like this has EVER happened. And Unfortunately, the customer did get the short end of the stick. But Edge/HOG had no liability in the matter. The...

    Techniflex leak

There should have been something sent back with the suit letting you know what the issue was. Unfortunately, sometimes when a suit comes in for a leak, it gets pressure tested and fixed and sent out right away. If it is a more serious issue, we call the dive shop and inform them of the issue...

    Techniflex question

Rich, There is a layer of 1000 Denier Cordura overlayed over the top of your drysuit material. There should be a drain hole right above the boot where you will see water draining out. If you do not have water draining out, there may be a problem. Give it a look and let me know what you find.

    Help with new suit

The biggest problem with Neoprene sox for us has been finding a quality suppliers that makes a decent sock. We've tried so many, but haven't had any luck. They stay dry for awhile, but we hate replacing them. Our Hardsole rubber boot is by far our most popular.

    Help with new suit

Have your dealer give me a call tomorrow and we will get it taken care of. Personally, we use a rock boot type system, but I prefer the attached hardsole boot. Less crap to deal with. I will say that we are EXTREMELY busy right now, but if you get the suit in ASAP, I'll see what I can do.

    Dema show???

I kind of miss having the Unified Dive Industry page open to the public on Scubaboard. Ever since they agreed to move it to the private board, there hasn't been 1 post in that thread. I think we should ask Netdoc to open it back up for public viewing. Especially in light of some of the...

    Drying of boots on drysuit

All are good suggestions. I would just turn the suit inside out as much as possible, hang it upside down and put a fan on them. They will dry in a couple hours if not sooner.

FYI. The new Si Tech is a lot smaller than the older kind that were basically the size of the Exhaust Valve.
