    Identify this shark please

Juvenile Reefs have sharper snouts than adults. Also, like bony fish, the eye doesn't grow proportional to the body so the eyes are larger relative to their body when young.

pregnant reef shark or bull shark?

Yes, I'd say Reef Shark. Definitely not a bull. They have a much broader Dorsal placed further forward and are beefier overall.

    Two conchs or what?

1st: Horse Conch is what we call them in the Bahamas, but West Indian Chank is the proper name. Look up their egg cases, you've most likely seen them around. 2nd: The other conch is the Queen Conch, Strombus gigas

    Help with shark ID Bali

Yes it is a Lemon Shark, but not the same Lemon Shark that lives in the Atlantic and Eastern Pacific. It's the Sicklefin Lemon Shark found in the Indian and Indo-Pacific oceans. The sharply pointed, swept back fins are a distinguishing feature. Louis

    Name that goby

Yes, the white bars are common on Redlip Blenny - They confuse a lot of people and I've always thought it strange there aren't more pictures of Redlip showing these bars. Also the Ophioblennius genus (which the Redlip belongs to) has unbranched supraoribital (above eye) cirri. Most other...

    Cozumel blenny?

Redspotted Hawkfish. The body is too deep to be any blenny we have around here. Look for the spots on the face, the distinct 'Eiffel Tower' body bars, and the cool tassels on top of each dorsal spine.

Whew, that was a good one. Really had me thinking. I was just about to give up and suggest you consider the rare Sea Mouse when I recognized something. That dorsal ridge, those projections... A Cowfish! I know it looks a little narrow for a boxfish, but you'll recall that Cowfishes are not...
