What detergent to use for cleaning Regs

Hi, I have been cleaning my regs using fresh water, keep them soaked for at least 24 hours and then let them dry. I have been advised I should really soak them using a detergent of some kind ideally anti bacterial type. Just looking to see how you keep your Regs clean and what would be the...

Current top drysuits for rec diving

yea I had the evertec and got a hole in the non existent boot on dive 2. Waste of time the boot is a poor design, you can have boots over it and its not durable enough to be used on its own.

Any one eyed divers out there?

I have a severe squint in my right eye, it's pretty much only good for some peripheral vision but is devoid of any actual focus or detail. Never been an issue for me when diving, but then again it's been from birth so I know no different. It's only recently become annoying from a dive...

ScubaPro HUD (new computer on the market)

I want to not like it, but in reality I know I will buy one. Its new, its 'heads up display". My LDS have one coming in for demo in the next few weeks so I will reserve final judgement until then. I do agree my mask does take a battering and having my computer on my mask does add risk of damage...

Has anyone seen or used the new Scubapro Hydros Pro BCD

Same here I purchased one of the first Hydros BCD's and have 200+ dives with it, taken to various overseas locations etc etc. A superb BCD and ok yes I do use some trim weights to get my ideal positioning but I have never had any bungee problems so I don't personally see it being a big issue at all.

ScubaPro Logtrak (Dive Map Location Not Working)

Hi, Just adding in some of my dives into Logtrak today, I have a few some new dive sites so I needed to update the location and the map. For some reason the actual google map is no longer working, I can't get it off the 'demo' page and actually locate the dive site. I have noticed some other...

Dive Shops in Nelson Bay/Newcastle/Central Coast

Lets-Go are a PADI operation, I have dived with them a couple of times and have been happy with the overall service, the people, the dives, the boat. I have my own dive kit so wont comment on their hire equipment. We run the re-activate program at Dive2000 in Neutral bay Sydney. I would...

    Scubapro trilaminate drysuit

I have the new Evertec Dry Breathable Tri-Lam. Have around 25 dives on it, keeps me nice and dry and its comfortable, price wise I think pretty decent it has the replaceable neck and wrist seals which is a must.. My main concern is the durability. I'm pretty heavy on my feet and do a lot of...

12 boys lost in flooded Thai cave

I cant see them ever considering any type of scuba related exit. terrible viz after what can only be an indescribable stressful experience almost guarantees one or more will panic, and likely drown. This would be a last chance saloon option. They have pumps running so I would expect them to try...

I have just bought the new Scubapro Trilaminate Evertec Breathable (new for 2018). Overall I'm very happy with it my LDS is a premium dealer so I get a 10% discount which makes it very price competitive for what i believe is a good suit. Fit wise the XL was perfect for me. They have also now...

PADI - What have you done to ScubaEarth Dive Log locations?

I never lost any dive data on Scubaearth, that would seriously P*ss me off, but they did screw up all the dive locations which was annoying enough, i did end up fixing the problem myself (it's slightly anal) but I used google maps to give the the co-ordinates of where the dive site should be...

Looking for Scubapro to provide some information on the Hydros Pro BC

My hydros is one of the originals so it must have the initial design shoulder strap. Same as general comments here I have 150+ dives on it, I keep it clean and rinsed but apart for that it has a normal life its used regularly including a lot of shore dives where its on my back with integrated...
