You've heard correctly, it is not world class diving, but I'd still go for a dive or two. I was there in Jan. of 05 and dove out of Bocas Water Sports (next to the Blue Nasty Mermaid). There are some nice shallow dives off the East shores of the island of Solarte.

I've read that exercising heavily after diving can increase the risk of developing decompression sickness. I was wondering, is there any risk with exercising before a dive? Specifically, will running a few miles (3-5) before a dive compromise my health in diving? -Shae
