    Drysuit undergarments

scubadobadoo, besides my hands which were blue and my face, i was sweating throughout the entire dive with that piece of undergarment. Toasty warm is not an over statement. After going through many different undergarments i found one that was both inexpensive, and held up extremely well as...

    Drysuit undergarments

the best i've used in cold water is the northern divers flectalon 200. I used it this winter in 38-40 degree water and stayed toasty warm for the whole 40 minutes. It's inexpensive compared to other brands such as DUI, and it also packs nicely for travel. I bought mine for 100$!!, and as far as...

    A little problem with Rockboots

thanks for the replies guys. Mark, I too was thinking of purchasing the turtles but i am afraid that they'll be too big(the foot pocket) to wear with neoprene booties when diving wet. is this true? Also, are their any noticable differences performance wise? I've never dived anything but...

    A little problem with Rockboots

I have the rockboots with my tls350, and i wear sp x-large jetfins. The problem i'm having is that the rockboots are a little too small for the foot pocket on the jetfin and after a dive i have a hell of a time getting them off. My rockboots are size 10. My question is, if anyone knows of a...

    Delta 4 or Jetstram

Larry's advice was excellent. Although poseidons are highly regarded and often considered to be among the best in regulators, the main problem associated with them is servicing them. I've been diving poseidons for years, but after my technician retired and i had no one to service them i got...

    New Backplate/Harness question

LOL.....Keeping the wing on the backplate is perfectly fine and no harm will come to it....i promise :)....Better to keep it on, than having to go through the minor hassle of on....off....on....off....

    Deco computer question

Adam, You could use the atom in deco diving. Since it supports three mixes(as long as you can switch them underwater). I personally own three deco computers but i dive tables and a bottom timer when doing deco dives. The computers are soley used as backup units.

    When was it?

i grew up on a small island, so the sea is part of everyday life. Ever since i could remember i was infatuated with the ocean, and everyday i'd take my mask and fins, and hit the water. When i was about 12, i discovered a little wreck aboout 150 yards from the local beach, and holding my breath...

    Scout - LED upgrade

probably around 7'5 feet from the floor(where the lights were) to the ceiling. Leds do have poor throws, but this halcyon bulb is the best i have personally ever seen in led lights.I'd say the beam doubles in size from this picture at about 35' feet . It' lights objects up pretty nice to about...

    Scout - LED upgrade

Here is a comparison between the halcyon LED, the Uk q40 and the ikelite pclite(4 c-cell). I received my scout upgrade today, and to be honest i am really pleased with it compared to other leds i've owned.scout-right, ike-left, q40 top

Thoughts on this "entry level" set-up? (I await your slings and arrows!)

I too would advice you to get a wrist mounted computer, consoles are big and cumbersome, and tend to get in the way most of the times! Other than that, enjoy your new gear and safe diving!

    Help in finalizing regulator choice

I too spend my summers in the greek islands with lots of diving there. I use apeks regs (atx200), and dive rite(rg2500). They are both superior regs and easy to service in multiple places in Athens and the islands. I personally know the greek distributors for Atomic, Scubapro and Dive rite. Most...

    Dive-Rite Regs

I was a poseidon man untill about a year ago when service and parts became too much of a hassle. Under the guidance of friends i switched to apeks, and i can honestly say that i have no complaints. A few weeks before xmas i was leaving for a dive trip to greece and my dive shop owner gave me a...
