Ranger LTD quality issue- hose & dumps detach from bladder!

Hi Colin, I, too, just saw your messages and other threads regarding this issue. I'll send you another message so we can swap email addresses, etc.

    50D 1st stage

To the best of my knowledge, which I admit is not complete, the 1st stage service kit is not going to change. We have thousands of 50D regs out there, so removing those O-rings from the kit would be unwise.

    50D 1st stage

One of the things that Jim Fox was keen on when designing Zeagle's regulators was that the service kits be able to cover the entire range of the line and that many of the parts were shared by various models. As such you'll find that the 345-1000 service kit (for Zeagle diaphragm regs) has all...

    Few reg questions

Yep, essentially you now have ZX DS-V regulators. The DIN and Yoke conversion kits use the same parts found in our production regulators. The 111, 90 durometer O-ring is correct. Although we use Buna rubber in regular production models, not Viton rubber. That'll be 011, 70 durometer.

    Warranty Registration

Hate to disappoint but that does seem to be the way it is. Though I mentioned this specifically when I handed off the website it doesn't appear that it was addressed when the backend of the site was constructed. I don't know if it will addressed in the future. As the helpstaff above mentioned...

Can you identify model/year? Is it worth getting tuned up?

I talked to our Service Department and I have two options for you. The less expensive option requires that you send in the bladder assembly to us. We can modify and reinforce the bladder cover ($15.00) to accept a more current style of inner bladder ($83.00) that has threaded flanges instead of...

    Warranty Registration

I'm afraid I'm not involved in website related matters any longer so I'm not as useful here as I used to be. Could you give me a screenshot of what you're describing? Don't show us your address/phone number, obviously, but just the screen in general so I can try to guide you.

Can you identify model/year? Is it worth getting tuned up?

Definitely an old Concept BC from the 90s and you should definitely look hard at that inner bladder. After this much time the inner bladders will get stiff and brittle around the welded flanges, as mentioned above. Particularly if the BC was sitting in someone's attic for many hot summers I...

    Issue with Concept

Ok, that's not something you could get off the shelf at the warehouse. You'll need to be clear when ordering it with your local Zeagle dealer so they can request that same part number but specifying SINGLE OPV so you get the correct item. We can still make that cover but we don't keep them...

    Issue with Concept

That cover is replaceable and you can do it yourself fairly easily. If its a fairly recent model (within the last 10-15 years) head to your local dealer and request p/n 7356. That's our current bladder cover with two bottom OPV holes and the RE valve hole in the shoulder area. If your bladder is...

Stiching on brand new Zeagle 911

That's not something that should have left the factory, apologies for that. We can fix that for if you want to send just the cover back to us. Contact Susan in our Service Department (service@ zeagle.com) and she can instruct you on how to return the cover to us for stitching, I've already shown...

    Zeagle Ranger Internal Bladder Replacement

The complete bladder assembly for a Ranger is p/n 7718C which includes the inner bladder, outer cover, two bottom dump valves and the shoulder RE valve with Bx power inflator. It should fit on the '92 Ranger but if you could give me a picture of your BC (front and back) I'll try to confirm. The...

    Zena Shoulder Straps

Talk to your local dealer and ask for p/n 7468-"size" that's the part number for the current Zena shoulder section. The Zena shoulder can be tricky to remove, I've found it's handy to have a flat-bladed screwdriver to help pull the metal tri-bars through.

Ranger LTD quality issue- hose & dumps detach from bladder!

Hi Colin, That is definitely not something that should happen after a few years, it sounds like the bladder has been exposed to something that would cause the plastic to go brittle. We sometimes see this very very rarely and it's often an environmental factor that causes it. But no matter, we...

    Online product registration?

Zeagle Systems, BCs, Regulators, and Scuba Accessories That's where you want to go on the website to register. Once you've created an account you'll be on a page similar to this On that page you'll want to go to the top right of your screen (the red bar) and select "Register Products" From...

    Covert

Both BCs have horseshoe style bladders, although the Covert's bladder cover is sewn to the vest section meaning that you can't change the style (inner bladders are replaceable). Both bladders would behave the same on the surface, inflate them appropriately to get your head out of the water but...

    Covert

The really obvious observations are that the Covert is an extremely lightweight, single tank, weight integrated BC with a ~30lb lift bladder. It's not open to much customization like our other products so you can't modify the bladder, vest components, colors, etc. The pockets you see on the...

LOST - 1 Removable Rear Mount Weight

You'll have to be specific on which side you need, since there is a left and a right pocket (can't flip 'em) and I'm assuming it's an older Ranger so it'll be the 20lb rear trim weights. You could certainly ask your dealer to see if they would order it like that, it's really up to them. We...

    Zeagle Scout and Pony bottle

Using more mathematics than I ever wanted to admit to my teachers I would use in real life I can tell you the 20 cu ft cylinders we get from Catalina have a diameter of approximately 5.25in (circumference of 16.25in, divide by pi, write apology letter to math instructor for cussing at them in...

    Zeagle Scout and Pony bottle

I've heard that our 8029HD bands don't quite fit a 13 cu ft cylinder, it's a bit too skinny. But I can't say for sure since we don't have any 13 cu ft cylinders over here. The intention of the 8029HD pony bottle bands were for 20 cu ft cylinders primarily so they were sized accordingly. I would...
