1) BARE XCS2 Tech Dry. Only a half douzen dives on it so far.
2)Love the self entry, how flexible it is and my faviorite little thing on it is the pull tab for opening my zipper (not on the zipper but on the suit facing the other way).
3)I don't like the attached boots so much.
I know you don't think an open toe/ split fin will be able to propel you in fast current, and everyone says jet fins are magical. But.. I love my Atomic splitfins even in a current. Having not used jets i can't compare, but i have never had any issues with my splitfins.
I have not used these fins but they are sold at the store I work at and they are pretty light (significantly lighter then atomic splitfins). I would assume that they would be nice to kick with but i have not used them to know for sure. Also i don't know how long the rubber "spring" strap would...
At that depth (even deeper and colder) the G250 will work exceptionally for you. The A700 does look cool but why spend more money when you don't have to.
And back to the question... As long as it passes hydro it should be good to go, especially since it was hydroed 5 years ago. I had a 72 that hadn't been hydroed for 20 years but still had air in it so i took it to hydro and it passed with flying colours. Great little tank for shallower dives
If your haveing a tough time equalizeing with the hood sometimes all you need to do is rotate your head so your ear is faceing the surface. Works for me.
If you bought the first and second stage at the same time as a single unit the serial number on the second should be the same as the serial number on the first. But i would look it over a lot before makeing and conclusions.
I haven't used the atomics in the Red Sea, but i have used them around Vancouver Island in Canada where there are some very strong currents. Even with full cold water gear these fins propel me with ease ( plus the spring straps make life easy)
