Not always but frequently I seem to get divers who either do not believe me when I hand single them my remaining gas or want to visual examine my pressure gauge, I dive with a PSI gauge. I have been thinking of doing things differently, like routing my primary 2nd stage over my left shoulder...
I was lectured by the scuba police this weekend, given the typical lecture of you are doing a very dangerous thing; you will die on your dive. The reason for the lecture was that my scuba regulator did not meet their definition of a safe regulator.
I dive a Phoenix HPR Royal double-hose...
My buddy Chris thought up a new rig setup which I agree, is quite possibly the safest scuba configuration ever imagined and I hope that we can make it a reality and market it to Open Water Scuba Instructors, Support Divers, and the general public who may be concerned with Doing it Right and...
Saw an ad from Divergear express that the Hollis SMS50 sport and tech are on sale for $349 but the ad also said April Fools Sale. Divergear express has in the past done April fools jokes but this one seems to be real.
(If only the Stealth 2.0 would go on sale)

I was originally going to pass this down to my brother but he does not dive much and he will never get to see the full potential of...

I was certified as an Open water scuba diver with Scuba Schools International in 1998. Since then I have gained a Master Diver card with SSI and recently in the past month, have begun training as a NAUI Dive Master. Open Water Scuba training has really changed, I took my training in Tampa...
Got certified in 1998, shopped for scuba gear many times, done lots of window shopping through the years. What I understand from scuba gear pricing so far:
Local Dive Shops tend to be the most expensive, even when they hold the Annual tent sales.
Gear manufacturers that have their own stores...
Divegearexpress has an SPG for $49 and I have seen other websites and LDS that sell them up to $100.
I checked google, did not come up with any returns. So has anyone ever made their own SPG? Can you purchase a regular HP gauge from The Home Depot and use it for diving?
I posted in the Regulators forum but they suggested I post it here.

Found out what it was, a SeaPro Zephyr
Roommate got this reg from friend, does not remember what brand it is, web searched and found nothing. Regulator has no marking to identify model/brand.
I take a scuba trip with my family every year, we usually dive the same shore location every time and we follow the same routine every dive. Recently I have been reviewing the dive tables and I am a bit confused as to how I should determine the appropriate surface interval between dives...
I take a diving vacation every year with my family to Grand Cayman, we dive the same shore dive location at least 15 times each year. Each dive is the same in terms of depth (60 ft.)/time. I have around 60 dives logged into the dive site.
I have met other divers who only dive sink holes and...
