    i-Torch Pro5

So here is a short video from a night dive with the I-Torch pro5. You can see how wide it is and compare to another person's torch and then there is one short part where it gets "foggy" Just a short clip from the gopro, it was taken with camera raw and I didn't edit it at all, its straight...

    E-PL6 Asian market only

OK, thanks. I haven't used it yet. But haven't really seen a need to after two dive trips with it. Maybe there is some ambient light in my housing, but I haven't really noticed anything yet.

    E-PL6 Asian market only

Is that a anti-reflection adapter on the front of the lens? Do you find that necessary?

    i-Torch Pro5

Hi, I was actually out diving between the 5-12 so sorry for the delay in responding. I was on a liveaboard and we did two night dives, for which I used the i-torch. As mentioned, its different than everyone else's because its a really wide beam. Someone came up to me after and said "we...

    GoPro video editing software

I think the issue was that if you use Cineform first to do some color editing or whatever, then export that file from Cinefirm, the resultant file couldn't be brought into Premiere. At least that is what my experience was trying this earlier in the year. But yes, directly opening the file and...

    E-PL5 vs SeaLife DC1400

Sorry for the delay. I am moving house so it took a while for me to get all the pieces in the same room. Here is a shot of what it looks like. There are a few more straps and the fiber optic cable, and of course the camera inside (don't forget to get the gear ring so you can zoom while the...

    help needed with setup

This is a photo I took of my setup with my phone. I used it in Fiji and was real happy with the results. Its the Canon S95 with the canon housing. The strobe is the Sea & Sea YS-02 and I bought a second tray to get the second arm and attached a video light (Pro-torch i5, something like that)...

Any thoughts on using a J1 or V1 as a dive camera?

Thanks, I think that puts the nail in the coffin for the Nikon 1 for me. I read another review that talked about disappointment too. I will put some time into researcher the Olympus E-PL5 instead. So $$$ though, and I am a little worried about how much bigger its going to be over my current...

    E-PL5 vs SeaLife DC1400

Regarding the Olympus housing for the E-PL5, does anyone know if I will be able to use my Sea & Sea YS-02 with it? Will the flash of the camera be visable through the housing? I'll use it on the yellow Sea& Sea tray with two arms and wondering if the whole thing will fit on there too. THanks...

Any thoughts on using a J1 or V1 as a dive camera?

Yeah, it definitely costs too much. And I am not sure how good the camera itself is underwater. I am thinking about this one because I have a D90 body and a few lenses. If I get the j3 with the kit lens, I can get an adapter to use some of the other lenses with it. Has anyone shot manual...

Any thoughts on using a J1 or V1 as a dive camera?

Ok, thanks both for the info! It seems the issue is the housing then. I see there is a Nikon housing for sale at B&H (on back order though). It seems to allow you to use the flash to trigger a strobe even though the flash is blocked by the opaque housing. Looks like there is a fiber optic...

    Sea & Sea project completed!

Well I got the new tray and used the arm for a video light. Then I went to home depot and bought a bunch of stuff. I was able to attach my gopro with a few things and returned what I didn't use. Went to Fiji and took photos and video at the same time! It was great!

    Sea & Sea project completed!

How did you make out? I have the same YS-02 and tray. I am thinking of getting another tray so I can put both the arms on one tray and then get a light for video plus extra light for photos. The I-Torch Pro 5 video light is what I am thinking.

    Sardine run, south africa

Ok, thank you. I will check out this new link and show it to my wife. We'll let you know if we have further questions. I recently priced some flights from NYC to Durban and it was around $1400, but with a decent schedule, it was a few hundred more. In Firefox, I have the settings set to ask me...

Article: High Dynamic Range Plug in for GoPro Cams

Seems like the problem with those shots is mostly back-focus (but yes, the sharpening etc. make the shots pop (too much?) as bibblue_hi mentions). For instance, the legs of the turtle and not the face, the fish in the background instead of the foreground, and not sure but the railing of the...
