Dead woman discovered - White Star Quarry, Ohio

You are so right, John. Frequently, women's symptoms are different than the typical symptoms for men.

    Diver vanishes off Lauderdale-by-the-Sea

Did I read correctly that the boat had 34 divers? Condolences to his loved ones.

    Seen on Bonaire

It looks like a juvi pudding wife to me, too. The five white bands and what appear to be specks. Hard to tell.

Onsite Dive Shop at Park Royal?

Your reasons for loving Aldora are the same reasons I love Living Underwater. Christi comes highly recommended as well.

Onsite Dive Shop at Park Royal?

Used to be Aquaworld. Not sure if it still is. I would book with one of the independent ops. Some are represented on this board (Aldora, for example) or have big fans here who are very loyal. My fav is Living Underwater. Put it out there for recommendations and they will come piling in.

Feb 19 2017 Cozumel diving fatality

Thank you for posting here, and for your very wise admonishment "if you don't feel good, don't go" Honestly, I can not imagine making the decision to continue after discovering such an issue as that. My thoughts and prayers are for her, her family and friends, and all who were involved. Just...

    Maui or Cozumel

Sorry, didn't mean to offend with the "getting her nails done". It was just one suggestion. I know I am considerably lower maintenance on trips than some women...I want to be under the sea as much as possible....but I have done the trip with a non diving female friend. She read poolside, went...

    Maui or Cozumel

My 2 cents. I've done Coz many times. It is very safe, we walked all over the place, and for a non diver is a great place to be if you are staying closer to town. While you dive, your wife can go shopping, get her nails done, sightsee, sit on the beach. The people are super friendly. The island...

Brits swim 8 miles towing non-swimmer - Mozambique

No kidding! I for sure would get my arse to the pool and invest in the PLB. I don't know anyone who would drag me for 8 miles. LOL

Strobe vs Custom WB Help for Beginners

You are getting some great advice. I first shot a G10 and then purchased a G12 (since changed again), which may be a little bit more customizable than the 7. My advice, in addition to what others has said is...check out the current and dial in your buoyancy on the first dive. Then carry the...

Is this an over-reaction/what would you do?

Good for you for possibly preventing an unfortunate incident/accident. There are several things that really puzzle me about this whole scenario, but one thing really leapt out at me. She had NO dive computer...and was not a seasoned diver? I thought a computer was a prerequisite for anyone who...
