id go with ys d1 , 250 is just too darn big and it can only go a ''little'' further in light range compared to d1. d1 is just awesome , and 250 is too darn expensive :p

well if your may be getting a sea sea ys strobe i would defiantly get the ys-d1- i know you can get it on eBay brad new for under 600$- its small, very small flash to a huge burst settings, and super easy to use- best strobe ever! i dont know any thing about canon housings and if their ikelite...

i would say yes, all the sea sea ports will fit on all the sea sea housing, i have the new nx fish eye port on a dxd70 housing

Nwcid, i like that idea i too have the dxd70- it is quite the beast, so make the arms into a handle, and you put it into some kind of little carrying bag

honestly i would sell the ikelite strobes, keep the housing and use the money to get one sea sea strobe "ysd1" and latter on get another D1- D1 is the best strobe by far small and super powerfull- worth every penny - you can find them on ebay if you look hard enough for 620$ new...
