Valid point about the theft issue. I work in Law enforcement and I guess my professional experiences have made me a little untrusting of others. I guess I just need to chill out and hurry up and get the wife in a diving class.

I remember dry suit class and a new untrimmed neck seal.....similar experience. Oh the things that friends will video of you doing to harass you later with.
I would say if you keep doing it don't charge any $ for the service. Treat it as that, a service call. If something else comes up you leave and come back later.same as the cat up the tree, yes we still have those calls here....

We carry a large blunt knife on our inner left leg. (Everyone the same so we can always find it) and EMS shears on our BCDs. So far seems to work with no issues.
Members on our team have to do OW, AOW, rescue at a min. Also dry suit and full face mask as that is what we use for biological protection during recovery operations.
Then monthly training from some members that have gone to more advanced classes and bring back and share what they have learned.
