Temp: 65-70 depending on site and canyon depth

I am not trying to hate on the islands businesses but but just unsatisfied with service. Diving anywhere around the island is a blast, and highly recommended.
IMO the charter boats aren't worth it. I dive the channel islands often, and like what I pay for. Every time I have taken any of the charters out of Catalina I wished I would have saved money and gone to the casino. Unless there is a special destination trip, the boats usually dont travel that...
Honestly, but a lobster trap. I tried to catch lobster multiple times last year while rec diving with no luck. I can give you some suggestions on how to do it but CDFW wont like you. If you want to learn to dive let me know. Good luck from Ventura.

Dived South Ventura today with some buddies. Both dive sites were not really effected by the rain and the dives were great.
