    Weird feeling about scuba diving

Thanks for the responses everyone! I'm not going to let this feeling I got as a kid put me off diving, I just loved it so much! Apparently my smile when I got out of the water was worth paying for alone haha. Hopefully I'll be doing the PADI Open Water course soon. Thanks again, Harry.

    Weird feeling about scuba diving

No, not that. I hadn't dived at the time, it just used to make me feel uncomfortable thinking about it.

    Weird feeling about scuba diving

Thank God, I thought I was the only one! I'm not superstitious but I thought that it could be a sign not to dive? It makes me look strange I know but hey, just the thought of diving gave me the creeps. Even when I was on holiday in Portugal and saw diving masks for sale in the shops it just made...

    Weird feeling about scuba diving

I found the actual dive really fun, it's just when I was younger I found diving a weird subject to talk about. I honestly have no idea why though! It's very hard to explain.

    Weird feeling about scuba diving

Hi everyone, When I was younger (around 10ish), when I used to think about scuba diving, something about it made me feel really odd. I know it sounds strange but it almost used to make me cringe? I never even considered trying scuba diving until this year, and I did. I loved it. I'm just...

    "Discover Scuba" Courses

When I did it in July, we went through a kind of flip chart with the basics of scuba, including: the effects of pressure on the body, basic equipment, dos and donts etc. Then I tried on some of the gear like the wetsuit, the mask and the boots and fins. We then drove about 10 minutes down the...

    Discover Scuba-Some questions

Ok, I'll check them out. Thanks for the info. Thanks for that, I'm not yet in Uni but when/if I am, I'll have a look. Thanks also for the link, I'll look at that too. Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome, if the diving community in general are this friendly, then I'm glad I joined! Harry.

    Discover Scuba-Some questions

Thanks, I'm really looking forward to it. I don't want to jump straight in to an OW course in case I don't like it and I don't really have the money at the moment. If I do enjoy it, I may have to get myself a part time job to do alongside college! :D.

    Discover Scuba-Some questions

(This post is in reply to GDI) Thanks very much, I'll have a look. Only problem is that we're staying in Coral Bay and won't have a hire car so, except from the bus, transport would be limited. I would really prefer to use a more local centre to Coral Bay. I'll still check them out though, the...

    Discover Scuba-Some questions

Hello everyone, I've just posted a thread in the introductions area to introduce myself (obviously). I have never been diving, but only this year I have decided I'd like to have a try. I'm heading out to Paphos, Cyprus in early July and will be doing a PADI Discover Scuba Diving session in...
