I've been wondering about this too. That default plastic port cover is pretty large and hard, and I've been wondering if it will be a pain. Good ideas to ponder.
The manual says it "wasnt designed to be used with rechargeable batteries.". I think this is a crime against the environment and should be illegal (but I'll refrain from any more soap boxing on that topic). But what about lithium AAA batteries? Anyone use those in this flash? I am testing it...
I have an E-PM1 and a Fantasea Nano on an Olympus short arm in the coldshoe. I have not used either on a dive yet (upcoming, Roatan). I have no experience with external flashes/strobes underwater (and little above). I've only used a PnS camera on previous dives. Got the Nano hoping to increase...
If you're using a C5050 with success I personally think the E-PM1 will do wonders for you; it's a huge step up. And at $500 for the camera, lens, zoom gear, and housing it's a steal. I have an E-M5 but was never going to spend what the housing costs for it. Just too much to spend when I don't do...
So which zoom gear works? I have just done a lot of searching and cannot find even one reference for a zoom gear made for this lens in an Olympus housing. The PPZR-EP01 and -EP02 seem physically to have no chance, as the lenses they are made for are so physically different. The PPZR-EP03 is for...

The lens will fit in the port, but there is no zoom mechanism is there? And no way to activate macro? I believe the E-PLx cameras will activate the macro electronically when you chose the underwater macro scene mode. But the E-PM1 does not have this. So how did you use this lens in the housing...
