The XJ VR is an extremely nice recreational or budget technical scooter, probably best value for money dpv on the market at the moment.
For what it's worth there's a new player in the European market.... Seacraft made in Poland I believe, not used one myself but they sure look sexy with some...
Hi
I'm after a line which will allow me to put much more onto my spools.
I guess I'm looking for something much flatter than the usual nylon line but still just as strong.
Any tips?
Hi
Could anyone who owns one of the Apeks lifeline spools be kind enough to take some close ups of the line both from front and side.
I recently saw this line on someones spool at a dive site and really liked the look of it. It is manufactured by Edelrid but they only manufacture in bulk I...
Does anyone have a recommendation for a cheap (Chinese?) primary cordless light?
I've been very happy with a Chinese (Brinyte DIV10) can light but could do with losing the cord. Anything that's worth a pop out there?
Hi
Not sure if this post should go here or the Hogarthian Diving group... anyway, I'd like to sidemount a deco bottle instead of clipping to chest and hip d-rings when diving backmount.
I have bp/w and stage bottles with standard rigging kit, I understand that I'll also need a butt plate of...
Tried that, actually thicker boots make the compression on the top of the foot & discomfort worse. Thiner soled boots have helped but still not perfectly comfortable
Hi
Sorry for digging this one up but I have the exact same problem as the OP.
I feel the foot pocket is too deep and spring strap too short, giving the same issue as can been seen by the OP's pic. This causes discomfort in the instep.
Not sure how to get around this, some options I'd...
Sent my DIV10 back to Brinyte HK after the switch died.
Brinyte repaired it and sent it back to me free of charge, they also threw in some of their new screws for the goodman handle and some new o-rings.
Thanks Brinyte!
You probably won't find a smaller reel than this one: AP Pocket Reel | AP Diving
Here's a quick review I found on youtube, helps you appreciate the size also: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FLaVv4IBqxQ
Been considering it myself, will fit in a bellows pocket I imagine.
There's no handle to...
Hi Midge
Let me know how it goes with the switch repair, mine is on the way out. As you say it's an impressive light, would be a shame to have to bin it for the sake of a simple switch.
Locally I could probably get a test drive on a SUEX but nothing else, this is also an issue - buying without trying.
Do SUEX do the Xjoy7 with lithium battery? I didn't think it was an option
SUEX xjoy7, 14 & 37 all weigh in at 19-20kg, I'm looking at 15kg and under ideally.
I wish they made something smaller and lighter with as much range as a xjoy14.
An Xjoy 7 with a lithium battery could be interesting
Sorry I should have clarified the "contenders list" they are in rank order top being most wanted
Piranha is my preferred of the 3 scooters due to weight/power/range/price combo
Genesis 600 would probably be my scooter of choice but is over my budget
Bonex Eco+ is included as a European option...
I use it with 3 x Keeppower 5200mAh cells but never run mine dry so don't know what's their limit but have been on quite a few 90+min dives at the brightest setting
Hi
I'm on the search for my first DPV. I do a lot of shore diving so the unit must weigh 15kg or less
The contenders:
Dive X Piranha
Genesis 600
Bonex Eco+
However I'm wondering if I could regret purchasing a DPV which does not have a European service centre, ie. if anything goes wrong with...
