Is there anyone that does this or would be interested in this?
Like traveling somewhere but instead of looking at pretty corals and tropical fish its almost solely to look for old bottles and other old things. Nobody in my area is interested in this besides in local diving.
Thanks for all the interesting info!, sure was a good find for an automotive swap meet, last year there was even a Morse diving helmet. It got bought before I could get to it though.. :(
A relative of mine picked this up for me at flea market last week, I guess from what I could find online they were an early manufacturer of dive gear in the US.
it's so shallow I doubt it came off a wreck. I thought maybe it came off some old boat when they were stripping it down and then towed the hull out somewhere and sank it.
This is something I found last summer that i think may be part of a porthole?? I kind of just passed by it and didn't think much of it until I was out of the water. Not sure if it was brass or not..

I guess that depends which local DS I would take it to. The ones i frequent sometimes give me good deals with random free air fills and rentals (who doesn't??).. Although I've never had them service any of my stuff and they don't quote prices on their websites.

My best finds this year were a 1920s porcelain Goodyear sign, some nice blob beers, chicago consolidated hutch and a really long (abt 5ft) industrial wrench.
