BTW, why does everyone whine a bout bringing safety equipment? Diving should be fun! Yes, that's true, But let us not forget, altho it has become commonplace to us vets, Safety FIrst!!!! So you have a sausage connected to your bc....aaaw...Go ahead...whine...but be safe brothers and sisters.

This whole incident really brings home to me why I bought a tandem kayak. This way, Pixie and I are only responsible for ourselves. I do like that gps/radio idea tho.

Hi Wry, Pixie and I bought a tandem one a while back, also for a very good price. It works well as a dive platform, but yes it is slow. Also I find that the skegs tend to disappear. I recently called the new owner of Sevylor and ordered a full set ( I only needed one, but who knows how...

Just had to let you guys know. If you need tank service, the last place you want to go to, this time of year is Divers Direct in Dania. I have nothing against them, but they get so swamped that it takes them 2 weeks to do a VIP. Pixie and I missed a lot of dives because of it, but you pay up...

Gotta agree with all of that. Pixie and I got stupid on one Labor Day. We saw so many flags that we figured we were safe. Sure 'nuff, as we exited, the female park rangers gave us a whopping $80 ticket. Not too good an end to a lovely dive. Bring a flag unless ya have money to burn.
