Great service for everybody, every time, at these places - Seagrape and Splash Inn, both in West End, Roatan Honduras.

Seagrape recommended that I stop in the Marine Park office while in town , 5 minute walk, and buy the wristband directly from them (and a T-shirt too, of course). That way there is no doubt, and no money-management at the resort.

Absolutely great place to stay and great diving operation. And there is a restaurant next door, if you don't want to walk 5 minutes to town.

I agree about this year's water temps.... was diving from West End April 19 to May 4, 2014 and it was a little chilly, still. Was OK with a 1 mil shorty, but it wasn't bathwater.

West End... 20 hotels, 20 restaurants, 20 bars, 40 dive sites within 20 minutes.

toddthecat - you were on the wrong end of Roatan (isolated) you don't know your butt from a shotgun barrel about West End. and Aztec, New Mexico is the stinkiest armpit town I ever saw in the southwest.

If you're not set on shore diving, Roatan is very reasonable. Diving is very good to excellent and the West End is very affordable. Flights tend to be a little more - in the $6-700 range but you won't need a car since cabs are cheap and a good idea due to liability. We walked around the West End...
