Anyone have experience with this outfit? Compass Point Dive Resort in the Cayman Islands I would appreciate input on other, low key/remote, eco friendly, hotels/resorts that caters to diving. Were still undecided on a location. Leaning toward Belize, or an ABC Island.

Coming from the states. We picked Turks largely for its lack of a tourist/resort vibe from the research/word of mouth. We purposefully try to avoid that in favor of mom and pop operations which are proponents of respect first safety second dive third.

We have not researched to be honest. We decided to book a trip somewhat on a whim. It seems I absolutely do have a misunderstanding of the sharks in Provo. That said, any assumptions I made had no intention of being disrespectful to eco system or common curtesy to the ocean life.

To be clear, I'm not a proponent of "chumming" hence the legal and responsible caveat. We are looking for a dive specifically for large and/or numerous sharks. Baiting on cage dives is the status quo I presume?

I didn't check to see if it works or not. I strictly followed ikelite's recommendations per the user manual. Are you suggesting that I may not have to send the strobe in at all?

I just flooded my battery compartment. I'm not 100% how, I suspect it wasn't tight enough (I installed new batteries just before the dive, I did ensure the seal was clear of debris and the cap was oriented correctly. The strobe didn't take any hits or bumps). I pulled the batteries and flushed...

I think some of you are missing the point completely... You take the time to learn, and practice safe diving, but you simply put your tanks, or weights in the back seat? You are risking your life, and others. In the event of a roll-over something simple as a 5 lead weight can kill you. A tank...
