Hi Chris, After having replaced the battery of my Cobra, the battery compartment flooded yesterday :( I rinsed it with fresh water and cleaned it with WD40..... Any chance the unit survived this unintended introduction to the aquatic environment?? Thx in advance for your answer. Rob

I got my +4 diopter now and tried it on land..... no way it will focus more than a couple of feet distance. Let's hope my 6"dome will do the job :)

Thx Larry, maybe it's a good idea to buy a set of those dry diopters yes... The idea is to buy an achromatic diopter if I really need one, but a good one is a lot more expensive so I will first try the cheaper ones to find out which diopter works best.....

Is there anybody around with the answer to my question? We're leaving for Egypt next week and want to try my Nikon 16-85mm lens as an allrounder (if the focus gear arrives in time :dontknow:). Having read the requirement to use a +4 diopter in the Ikelite lens/port chart, I wonder if I need one...

Hi Phil, you might be right; we've also got a Pen 1 in an Oly housing without this problem.

I've been using the Zen dome and macro port on my PT-EP05L for some time now and taking those ports on and of is a real struggle! The standard port works like a baby and can easily be removed by hand.... For the Zen ports a had to use one of those oil filter removal tools; even then it was still...

Yes I would.....we also have the info, that the Athena dome gives a bit of vignetting..... so leaves us with the ZEN plus a little DIY :)

Did my first dive with the E-PL3 last Sunday with 2 Inon Strobes. Both firing all the time.... cam flash set to fill in and strobes on S-TTL. Done the same with our E-PL1; working perfectly ok. Got a few friends with same set up as you're using; no probs either! So... yes, cam looks suspect!

Today we took our E-PL3 for a first time dip.... Wow! Isn't it mega fast compared to the E-PL1 we also have..... Tried it in the murky waters of The Netherlands (caused by recent bad stormy weather). Viz was no good, but found this nice bull rout (seeskorpion, zeedonderpad).

The answer can be very short...... I didn't get this combo to work. It gives you a nice round picture and will NOT focus properly... But the 45mm in the ZEN macro port works wonders! Got some smashing pics; will post some soon.
