    using Blacktip firmware in Sierra

    Does anyone have real world success with this that might be able to help me out? Upgraded my Sierra this weekend to the flipsky 6.7 VESC, with 2 PTB's. I'm using the same firmware as Tawaki. I flashed the firmware, and then used the VESC tool to detect the correct FOC of the Sierra motor...

    These are the tank options I'm considering - which should I go with?

    Steel 72's make awesome SM tanks. They get butt floaty, but don't get positively buoyant like al80's. Most of them were made before I was born, but you can usually find them on the used market pretty cheap. Hp100's are great too, just a little more money.

    using Blacktip firmware in Sierra

    Following because I bought the same VESC but have not tried this yet. Tawaki or Whitrzac do you have any guidance on what all is involved in changing the setting of the firmware to work with the Sierra? I plan to just run it with 2 20volt PTB's.

    🔥🔥 Need testers!

    I'd love to review the 530 for a primary and the 560 as a backup. I dive in the PNW, both the sound and in some local lakes, so it would be a good test for dark silty waters. I have a youtube channel for my diving, though we have not done any gear reviews yet, this could be a first.

    Spring straps

    If you want to up your game, add some vinyl tube and tubular webbing over the top in your favorite color. I find this digs into my heal little less than straight bungee.

    PNW Dive groups?

    Moss Bay Divers seems pretty active, www.nwdiveclub.com is good too with a few weekly dives, though mostly on the Seattle side of Puget Sound. Depending on what side of Hood Canal you are going to be on, hit up YSS dive (in hoodsport) or Sound Dive Center(in Bremerton) both host occasional...

    Diving spots in/near Washington State

    So are you planning to drive in from Pennsylvania, dive, pack your gear and go straight back east? I know someone who lived on the East side of the state that would drive across the pass after diving in the sound, they just planned their dive in like it was at the max altitude they planned to...

    easy deployable / submersible flag

    For times when towing the flag is more of a hinderance than a help for avoiding boats, I glued a piece of velcro to the edge of my DSMB, then stitched some to the edge of my flag. If I'm in a spot where I need to have a flag up (or think it the boaters will know what it is and respect it), I...

    Can light cord and glands

    That crimp is just where the cable gland was squeezing the cord and it took a permanent set. The gel was most likely just silicone grease to help with the seal. Not sure on the stuff that was applied to the screws. Are the parts delrin, or aluminum? If it's aluminum it might just be...

    Sidemount lower bands, cam-bands or stage rigging kit?

    One thing to consider about the jubilee clips. If you are changing them around yourself it's probably not an issue, but if a DM or someone else swaps them for you, they can strip the band by overtightening it. (Done it!). Most everyone is aware of proper tension for cam bands.

    Salvo Light Parts

    Salvo has been out of business for a long time. Light Monkey used to sell some parts to support the old Salvo lights, but I don't know if they still do. What part are you looking for?

    Source for Neoprene

    That's good news, the website still says no walk ins, wasn't sure if they maybe made that policy permanent, which would have been sad. Somtimes you don't know exactly what you want, so it's nice to be able to look at and touch the material, which is why I try to support local business. When I'm...
