    iPhone 5C Watershot??

The amount of dives I've completed doesn't completely effect my photography skills. I've never taken pictures underwater with my GoPro, just topside, and I usually get better pictures with my iPhone compared to my GoPro Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    iPhone 5C Watershot??

My dive buddy has been using his watershot case to take photos and videos with his iPhone 5, I'm wondering, has anyone tried to put a 5C iPhone in any of these cases to see if you can still operate it? I'd like to get myself one for photos, since I already use a gopro for video.

    hands free video !!

I've tried the octomask for go pro but I really don't like the mask it tends to leak on me and has a really bad time fogging compared to my regular mask. I've been farting around with different ways of mounting my gopro and lighting. Has anyone ever tried the bicycle helmet setup? I bought a...

Learning how to read weather reports

Me and my dive buddy have decided to retire Palos Verdes and San Pedro for awhile, we just haven't had much luck with visability in any of the locations we've been too. I'm trying to get my work schedule changed so I have days off when he does so that we can travel south to Laguna and hopefully...

why are there very few young divers?

28 and my dive buddies (cousins ) are 25 and 24. I never really thought much about scuba most of the time growing up it was about surfing and boogie boarding scuba never really crossed our minds as another water activity that we could partake in. Since getting certified in January I've gone just...

    Inflatable boat towing?

What about dropping an anchor and setting up a reel with rope so you can get back to the anchor? Is that a possibility? There's a few spots i like but the trek down these paths are a pain we could easily launch from a beach next to the spot and boat to the hard to reach area, that's my goal anyway.

Learning how to read weather reports

Yeah the location that I've been diving in is really just a roll of the dice for viz, I'm trying to rework my schedule so that my days off are on weekends so that we CAN head further south to all the good spots. For example we dove on Malaga cove, palos verdes CA, and couldn't see but 2 feet in...

Learning how to read weather reports

Southern California diver, I mostly dive Palos Verdes because it's more convienent for my dive buddy, he dives in the AM, cleans up then goes to work. (On my off days). PV is very hit not miss, I don't really know how to read surf reports or even know of good ones to look at. Not all PV spots...

    Submersible bag questions?

Any suggestions on a decent submersible bag that is rated for depths below 6ft or surface level. Recently did a Catalina trip and found it very annoying not being able to take my wallet or phone or truck keys or small knickknacks with me underwater. I've found quite a bit but most seem to be for...

    Kayak Diving

Just under 10 dives so far, all being shore dives. I've grown some interest in Kayak diving in Southern California. I watched a YouTube video of a guy that solo dives for lobster out here. I have two cousins that I dive with, who are willing to follow suit with kayaks. My question is, obviously...
