    DUI zipseal

No not yet. I got the G2 seals fitted in the end. I've not needed to replace them yet. When I do I will have a go at reusing the rings.

    About he-pee-valves

I don't cut anything. I make sure I ram the valve hose right into the catheter so it can't fold over on its self. I also loop over the top and down to the valve. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Product Review: New “Generation 2” BARE SB Drysuit

I hope it holds out for you. I have been researching the TiZip and I'm aware they have had some issues in the past. A lot will only last 100 to 150 dives before they start to leak. I know that Santi have been replacing quite a few under their warranty. I would be interested to hear how you get...

How many would consider using a tether when diving with a loved one?

Frank, I get the feeling that you were not 'thinking' about a tether but had in fact already made you mind up and were after affirmation or approval. It's obviously your call and you can do what you want. As a matter of interest, why do you hope I carry one? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

How many would consider using a tether when diving with a loved one?

I also dive on the south coast, normally out of Teignmouth. I agree the viz can be shocking. I dived the Bretagne a few years back, the shot ended up in the mud so we took off looking for her. I attached a reel to the shot to help in the search. After a few seconds I bumped my head on its side...

How many would consider using a tether when diving with a loved one?

Generally It's not something I would use. If the viz was so bad as to require one, I would thumb the dive. After all it's supposed to be fun. I certainly wouldn't dive with a tether in case of weight loss. I would liken that to driving your car around with the window down just in case you plunge...

    Freeflow on boat?

I'd take it back to where you purchased it. It's brand new, whilst you might expect a free flow as it touches the water, it should not be doing that from a purge. Next time you have a free flow, stuff your thumb into the mouth piece. That will stop it. Don't bash it. I see many people giving...

    Drysuit neck former

The wife's drysuit needs new neck and wrist seals. The wrists are not a problem. The neck however............ I have seen pictures of home made neck formers. One to keep the hole stiff and the other to fit over the seal to help keep shape as it's stuck down. The first is a solid circle, the...

    Non-Zip Seal Gloves

I don't know about DUI wet gloves but I dive with zipseals and just an ordinary cheapish pair of 3mm wet gloves. There fine for most of the year here in the UK. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What to do on your 100th Dive?

My 100th dive was whilst on a live aboard in Egypt. We had come close into shore for the night to fix a problem with the boat. I was hoping for a spectacular dive like the Thistlegorm for my 100th rather than a crappy in shore night dive. In fact it remains one of my most memorable dives. We...

anyone ever try wearing non-ditchable weight under their dry suit ???

You're on a rib. You have handed up your BC or Wing, you no longer have 33 to 38lbs of lift, you plummet to the floor. You feel free to give it a go. I'll leave all of mine on the outside of my drysuit. But that's just me. What ever you decide, stay safe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

anyone ever try wearing non-ditchable weight under their dry suit ???

I don't know whether you do any Rib diving but here in the UK it's very popular. To get in the Rib you must first pass up your weights. Then get out of your rig and it gets pulled pushed into the Rib. I guess at this stage with a weight belt under your dry suit you will be A- struggling to...

    DUI zipseal

When the G2 wrist seals need replacing, the 'zip' part of the seal can be separated (using a hair dryer) from the latex. Once off, the zip can be cleaned and fresh latex seals can be glued to the old zips. Thus creating a 'new' zip seal for a fraction of the cost. I am wondering whether the same...

    DUI zipseal

I agree they are very expensive for what they are. I asked DUI whether they would fit the si tech system to a custom suit and they said no. I could get the suit with zip seals as they do not cost any extra and if I don't like them I could get the sitech seals fitted by someone else. I think I am...
